Ah yes, thank you veex. You will probably see some of that stuff with CMT's SPV3.
E: I think I posted a30 there too.



Haven t really did that much though besides make some forerunner details and fix the shaders.

your FP arms are beautiful, again, did you fix the fog issue? (as in everything in the fog radius suddenly loses a lot of texture quality)

Why does this matter? I made my own animations for them a while ago.

@silentjacket: there will be no issues with fog giving that white tint with far distant objects, as seen on lumoria for example.

The B30 BSP's content as far as I know is going to CMT's B30 Evolved. Me and lag talked about it awhile ago and he was down for it. If not, i might just finish scripting it up. The original intentions were to see how good I could make the game look. ATM I'm more concentrated on getting a high detailed custom scenario up and running for you guys.

@Bungie: Thank you. My goal is to one day provide the community with a fun OS experience, and give them all the tools that make it up as well.

Rather than vids of B30, I'd be very interested in a comprehensive tutorial of how you approach your shader_environments. They are the best I've seen since the map Church.

Ki11a_FTW Bringing in Members Soon

I'm gonna be looking for some people soon, to help with some BSP concepts, BSP models, etc.

This is NOT an easy job. We will be working with many concepts, and hi-poly geometry when it comes to it.
-everyone must have the same mindset. Which would be my general direction I want this to go in.

I'm looking for people who have been involved in other anticipated projects such as CMT, lumoria, and whatever else. This is what I call a Super Group.

I could be of some help, but due to being in online school I may not be the most reliable member.
I can do bsp concepts and a bit of modeling. I'm ok at natural terrain but hard surfaces is what I excel at.

(for those who are dumb I just threw random textures on the cliffs and ground and whatever so I could start doing some testing with gameplay)

No seriously, I know there are some experienced mappers still hanging around here, I could use some help;)
Edit: I had to throw portals in to get the map to compile.. So the cliffs are clipped in a lot of spots towards the top, it's not my crappy modeling, that can be found in the structures I have in the map right now

I mostly need interior/structure artists at this point, some concept artists would be nice too. Last I heard of Disaster was helping me with some props and stuff.

Also, still working hard on this BSP.. I'm getting kind of scared because the BSP has around 20,000 polies, and there are massive clipping issues. But once I get the gameplay straightend out and some tests done, me and someone else (hopefully) will have to go over the structures, right now they are pretty much just blocks. So at that point the map may be around 30k polies, then I have to do some terrain revisions which may push it close to 40k. Hopefully I can pull some tricks with these portals.

@silentjacket, I actually had the DMR origins moved over with OS's weapon positioning for the pic, I have it back to the original now. (I think it took the position that my AR was set to for some reason when i play mp).

I hate to come into a thread late and not take the time to read the whole thing... but that is exactly what I am doing...

After scrolling through everything quickly I don't quite understand. Are you re-creating maps and such with higher quality, or are you creating custom content?

Either way, the pics in this thread look spectacular.

The recreation pictures were just a few tests I did to see what I could get the game to look like. However the main product here is going to be custom SP maps.
