if the materials arent set, you can use the eye dropper tool and click on the scorpion to get the materials set.

If by materials you mean textures, i've included the textures, you just have to redirect max to them

The Banshee makes a return. (I actually dont like the Reach banshee in comparison to the Halo 2/3 Banshee but eh)

i was looking at some reach files earlier, and i found out that the Sabre is nearly 60k polies.....yeah good luck trying to get me to do that

On a side note, i've got a special release coming for you guys soon, watch for it :3

Hey, so i will most likly be leaving my relatives place today so that means i will have no internet again. Any chance you have any more models that you can release today? Like reach weapons and covenant units? Also unsc units. Again, i would like them to be rigged for animating if you don't mind. I would also prefer if they were reach models and not halo 3.

I was working on the reach Spartan, which as I said before, requires some rigging before I can actually release it. However, the reach guns are weird to extract because you won't have all the textures, and covenant weapons have a ton of moving parts, which are hard to separate, so it might be a while before I actually release the reach guns.

I still have a special release awaiting you guys though, just gotta finish it.


Also, I think cheddars' reach grunts got released somewhere on the forums, check for those. I released Marines and elites already too so there's that

EDIT: by the way, with your Reach scorpion, is the gunner seat fully working? I.e. a player or NPC can jump in and control it separately from the driver, and its rotation is restricted so that it can't shoot the main cannon?

Its a model, not a tag. Currently the only thing i've released is models with textures because i just dont put in enough effort to make them tags (I might start doing that soon though, as i actually DO know how to tag)

Halo 3 Brute


Alright so, this was actually one of the easier biped releases i've done, either that or im simply getting better at this, ionno.

Includes:
- Halo 3 Retail Brute with as many permutations as i possibly could extract; All in a Max 2010 file
- Textures For the Brute, Including Diffuse, Normal and Specular maps
- Materials and IDs set in the Model file
- An IK variant of the Brute for animation

Just to clarify, a tag is the actual thing in-game, right? I.e. you have a model of the scorpion, which is just its shape, then the textures which give the tank the final appearance, and the tag is what you use in-game to shoot, drive and use?

I'm not in my house right no, and my pc crashed, i missed some of my tags and app :( Can you put the h3 ghost (just model with texture) on da release please ? I really need it :)

Also, I pretty liked your odst I've seen, and thank you about the reach banshee, I've already animated it, it's time to get ingame ! :)

A tag is something that has run through tool that can be used by guerilla and sapien, so yes. A tag is something you can use ingame as it can be read by guerilla and placed in sapien. And to get these tags, you must run models/textures/animations/etc through tool.

I've yet to see this done in CE. A vehicle can only have 1 weapon, which is why the H1 and H2 tanks had the cannon and the machine gun useable by the player, while H3+ switched to a new system. While you could set up the turret gunner as a separate vehicle, and enter it into a seat in the tank, you wouldn't be able to exit it or go up to it and hit E. You'd only be able to enter and exit it via script. We use a similar setup for the CMT Phantoms, which utilizes a core body and then multiple other vehicles that enter it. Those other vehicles hold the seats for the side gunners, the folding doors, and the gravlift.

Kirby was able to do it with his Scarab, which im assuming is the same technique that you used with the phantoms. using multiple vehicles and having a "hooking" node to keep them together

I actually have your Halo 3 Ghost tags still, i can just give you those instead

So how's the progress on the Reach civvies? Or are you busy with other assets? They look too...good for words...

It's like they're staring at me, staring THROUGH me, right through my soul...ohh...

EDIT: So it definitely is possible to have a vehicle with a main gun and secondary gunner?

I've been more or less busy trying to get this one VERY special release out there, but my success has been...stagnated for the time being. I try to finish the reach guns here and there though. So in short, no reach civvies just yet.

And yes, though laggy and far from perfect, dual gunners work in ce

Yes, i finally give you tags, be happy!
However, my tagging skills with vehicles are really bleh, so this vehicle doesnt work as well as i would have hoped for, but still, it's something.

- RPG Beta 5 Variant with the Halo Reach Seraph (use HEK+ to extract the tags)
- My Setup for the GBXmodel
- My Setup For the Collision/Physics model

Aircraft physics for Halo in general is messed up, imo...

Is there a way to make a whole new physics model that's neither like the Pelican, Ghost nor Banshee?

in it's essentiality, the physics is more or less custom, it just uses the flight physics of the banshee, which is probably closest to how a seraph actually reacts (it's a space interceptor, so it'll fly similarly anyways). As for creating a whole new physics model, i doubt its impossible, but i'd suggest talking to kirby or somebody like him to get a confirmation, its not my forte as you can see

It refused to stay on the BSP.
I had to change the physics to the Banshee's just to keep it from disappearing.
