I really do hope that one day we get something from this old project. I'd love to see Delta Halo personally be done first, plus its looks like in the thread that it was the most developed and had a very playable "In a very WIP kinda way" from start to finish. Just somewhere down the line it was dropped, which I understand.

But after seeing that there might be a chance of a slight revive, It puts a smile on my face :)

Just hope something happens in the near future :D

Would be great to see a continuation of SPv3 through H2's campaign or maybe Delta Halo: Evolved, there's so much great things that could be done, also Kirby's work on Menu and coop is quite exciting, the day H:CE gets online/LAN coop I'll throw the biggest LAN party around, you're all invited guys...

I miss this kind of dreamy thinking.

Are you guys saying that you want to start modding halo 2? But that's been locked down...

Ah yeah, well I'm quite new to H:CE modding and I'll try to learn how to do things by summer, I don't know what it takes to be an H:CE modder but I hope my C programming skills making simple CLI programs will be enough, I'm more of a tech guy than a dev but I want to learn modding...

Not modding H2, bringing H2 to H:CE.

He probably thinks that having access to somewhat unique tags makes him important, someone to be treated with respect in case they might decide to impart their wisdom and tags with you.

Clearly his posting history reflects this.

I guess not all members get better over time. I'm starting to like people who use the term "mentaly handicapped", but I still wouldn't use it as often.

Lies!! Lies and slander!! [/troll]

First of all, "more than a year".. progress was shown at last years CE3, so even if you meant it it was publicly dead, that's not more than a year. Secondly, at Christmas with some free time, I dealt with splitting up heat in dual wielding weapons, so they could overheat independently. (Even though it isnt shown in this years CE3, I did mention it, so I guess I probably shouldn't talk about that till after this CE3, but whatever)

I'm still hyped as hell to see H2's campaign in H:CE :)

Glad to know I was the first to make this joke. So I'll continue with this one:

.. it just keeps saying.. regret.. regret. What does it mean?

Oh, I can give you a translation. We regret naming our topic after an exploitable halo 2 quote. We regret making said topic before finishing a level first.. and we definitely regret bringing matty dratt to the team when he's busy on another project, aint that right marines?! (Hoorah)

It was only Kirby, Vampire_Girl and me who were working on it. Some offered to help like DSali but he suddenly quit. Masters dropped it at day one and only placed some simple AI in the delta halo level.

I just used Matts name because it sounds like that other word that dennis would probably ban me for saying. Also didn't sali-ther0s get banned?

I wouldn't go that far... We had the whole level playable except the boss fight.

BSPs were a mess and AI were very simple. It was far from finished.

we use wristwatch for those words. using my name just makes it sound like I worked on the project when I didnt have a single thing to do with it

It's impossible to get the AI working correct with the way the pathfinding was set up. I actually looked briefly at the H2 scenario, it appeared to be that they use some sort of fake scenery to create the pathfinding.

the actual reason this will never be done is because we can't get the halo 2 marine animations
