what happened to the old CE3 Logo?

2010 Logo - http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/6931/ce32010.png
2011/2012 Logo - http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/4391/ce3logov2.png
2013 Logo - http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/6854/logohuge.png

New direction, new art style.

Everything new we're trying is to hopefully improve the quality and production of CE3. Make the show more enjoyable. We really enjoyed CE3 2012 and we hope to make it better and change it up a tad with a new stage and a new style.

The best way to help out is to contribute -make something that people will like, and submit it.

The more projects we have, the more we can add to the show... The more, the better, right? :)

-As for myself, I'm hoping to make the stage good enough to top Rambo and ODST-Nick's stages (the places used for the past CE3 events) this year.
Everything's still in wraps for now, but I can promise you that it'll be a lot more awesome. :D

In terms of crew, we're pretty set. The only other crew help we would need is another 3p animator. The more the better, right? But it's not needed. We got M16 working on more stuff this year and yeah.

Submit stuff and watch the show!

Also music suggestions are nice. I try to find something Techno to pump up the mood, but not dubstep because people be hatin' dubstep.

People hating dubstep? That's a pity. It's a rather nice genre.

One popular music choice would be Gangnam Style. I seem to recall someone recreating it in CE, but I can't remember where that was. Probably YouTube.

I would like to submit my background Single Player campaign I have been working on for a while but I would have to quickly speed up production (I started again recently and re-wrote the script) ;)

You still have time~ Submissions start on February, so you still have two months.

As for dubstep... This is just my guess, not an official response...
I'd think a lot of people who make their own videos will include dubstep as background music to begin with.
If that's true, then it'd probably be a better idea to use a different genre for the "default" soundtrack... So they might just want to not sound like everyone else.
Maybe that's why? P:

Nope. Last year we got 3 projects by the same team!

No interview? Sorry. No other real way I know how to make a video interview without audio

Is there any way you could borrow a mic or another computer with a microphone, just for this?

Also, most cell phones should have voice memo programs, which you could use those to record each of your answers?

It's funny looking at the CE3's youtube account history since it's a shared account. I KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS WATCH!!!

Podcast #1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a-vJGCnQiw

Also looking at my real-life sheduel I recommend the Cut-Off date is July 1st, and then air CE3 July 5th, 6th, or 7th.

If we did what we did last year then it'd be the 7th at 4pm EDT USA

Happy new year’s, everyone! This is renegade343 (this year’s stage modeler), and I hope your holiday plans’re playing out well.
(If you’re like me, then we’ve to jump back into that pit of hell called school tomorrow… Good luck!)

In Japan (I’m Japanese, by the way), we have a tradition of giving out “otoshidama” (お年玉), or gifts/cash as a present on New Year’s Day.
I figured it’d only be fair if I do the same and give the community a small present, too.

So here’re a hint to show you what this year’s show might look like -enjoy!

Voila! Here’s the CE3 2013 stage (circa November 2012 with a temporary logo)!

Yes, it’s textureless and is modeled on Google SketchUp. But don’t worry, I’m working with Kozakuu and M16 Assault to finalize the texture and convert the model.

-renegade343

PS: the screenshot does not necessarily reflect the final version of the stage.

Submissions open the 4th
If you want to use this stage when presenting your map (like how in 2012 the r2d2 went across the stage) just say your idea in the description when you submit

Yup -if anyone needs a more detailed look at the stage, I can give you more detailed schematics, too, when the stage map is set in stone.

Try not to get to complicated with it. Something like the R2D2 was a nice small touch but don't try to make your entire presentation on the stage :|

Time is on your side, too -the earlier you submit and make that request, the more likely your special presentation will be admitted and animated. ;)

We made submissions open a month earlier than we planned... Use that to your advantage!

You can view podcast #2 here.

Submissions are now open!

Also this year, during the livestream, the 'break' will not be just 2 minutes of a countdown timer, instead it will be another section of the show called 'Show-Off'. The Show-Off section will allow mappers to show-off their already released maps! This will be a very small part of the show (only a few seconds per map) and is intended to be the show 'break' if anyone needs to get up for a little bit.
