Welcome to the Universal UI.

Why universal? Well, the idea behind this project is to bring together the best of all elements. Whether it be loading popular singleplayer maps without DevMode or discovering new and upcoming creations, this UI serves to better bring together the Halo Custom Edition community.

Want to play the classic campaign? CMT levels? Project Lumoria? A ton of community Singleplayer levels and Firefight maps? You're covered! Also, you get to select the difficulty of any map that you load with the touch of a button. Plus, the multiplayer server list has been modernized and all interface elements have been slimmed down for easy navigation and quick game starting.

Stay updated! The Universal UI also gets periodic updates to accomodate new releases and features.

So what are you wating for? Download the Universal UI today, and start playing Halo CE like never before!

The truth:
Yey, a UI with a solid/high rez looking background and no blurry text!
The sad truth:
Yey, a UI with apparently console-like navigation (at least based on the screen posted!)

Seriously, though, it looks nice. good job.

That's just the main menu. The rest map picking looks like default map picking

Wow, looks great, excellent job. There's quite the collection of maps in there.

My only suggestions would be to change the font in the main UI area and the map selection areas for SPV3/H2/Lumoria to be more like Halo 1's text. Right now its kind of skinny a little awkward, but it definitely works great. Only other thing was that the music could be a little more various (take like Lumoria UI for example, uses 4 different songs) to help break it up a little bit from the same old song in the original UI.

No I like just the one song, it still lets me know I'm playing halo, it's nostalgic. Plus having multiple songs is very pointless. Just stick with the theme song that is what the menu screen is for to listen to the theme song of the game you are about to play.

I guess its a matter of preference, then. Most custom UI's use the original song and becomes repetitive and boring very easily, and its nice to break up the tune with some other great tracks from the game that are left unnoticed imo.

I kept the original songs in for exactly the reason Slayer117 mentioned. Because this is meant to be an extension of the original UI, I wanted it to feel like an actual part of the game, rather than a temporary filler for kicks.

Well the map is open sourced, so feel free to extract the tags and make whatever changes that you see fit.

I'm inclined to agree. It's nice seeing fresh music every time I start Halo, as has been the custom for about a year now while I've been using the Halo 3 UI. :P

Other than the music though, this UI is brilliant. The music of course is still great, even if it's the same music that we've all heard a thousand times by now.
Anyway, this UI is brilliant. Couldn't imagine CE without it already :/

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys. The map is unprotected, so you can rip tags to see what I did, and look at the scripts and see how they made this whole thing possible.

I have yet to see any instances of UI's getting screwed up by extraction so it should be safe.

The only things that should ever get corrupted are default Halo UI tags. But those can still be compiled through tool and work ingame. The only issues would come from HEK tools.

No.. but you should back up your UI tags before hand. Sometimes they can get pretty messed up, as its happened to me before when extracting the Delta Halo UI.

Yeah it shouldn't be a big deal. If you ever have corrupted extracted tags, just send me a message and I can get you the proper ones.

in future versions, would optional backdrops be included, or is that impossible?
