I am not sure if I'm doing it wrong but Tool keeps saying there are open edges.
It's just a box with 6 faces.

are you exporting as editable poly? When I export collision models as editable poly, it wont go through tool (although it doesn't care about the collision in BSPs strangely (for me at least), only just flat out collision models)

change it over to editable mesh before exporting.

What error are you getting in tool? Post the last paragraph from your debug.txt

What exporter are you using? blitzkrieg, chimp, bluestreak, etc. Try one of the ones you aren't using.

This happens to some people, i dont know why and i dont know how to fix it.
I remember people trying all the exporters and still having open edges on a primitive box.
edit: what version of max are you using?

Delete it and make it again. Use the vertex tool to look for any isolated vertices and delete them. Make sure you don't use editable patch on the collision mesh. Make sure you are only exporting the box.

I always get this error with BSPs CGs and whatnot, the exporter (if you open the wrl with your model) will rip out a face and stuff one of the corners of the face into another vert.

Blue streak and chimp never have given me a good model or bsp or CG without doing this.

Use the JMS exporter with no name, and if it happens again, import the wrl (with chimp if you're using Gmax) and delete the face that is has highlighted.

Then go into face or polygon view and re-create the face.

Then re-export and the unnamed JMS exporter will make it work like a shiny thing that you can't see but keep bumping in to. :)

I did a bit of improvising.

I welded some of the vertices of the model (not the collision one) and made a simple box.

I compiled it as a collision model and it worked.

To Maniac:I am using 3ds Max 2010

To kirby and Mootjuh:I am using the Bluestreak JMS exporter (v1.0.1)

Yerr.. But everything else gives me fake open edge errors.
