My Guy On The Job (TM) will be taking a look at Adjutant tomorrow and seeing what he can do. I make no promises on what he'll be able to do, if anything, though. - if nothing comes of it I'll have to ask Gravemind if there are any plans to further Adjutant support.

Might sound like an odd request Rosanna, but how can I attempt this "jiggery-pokery" you speak up that exports the models in a mess. I might have an idea to try out now that this has been mentioned.

Waffles, are you talking about the announcer dialogue for Halo Reach or Halo 3 ODST? I did read you post about not being able to extract or preview dialogue sounds, but I could not specify if you were referring to Halo Reach or ODST. Could you please let me know which one it is? I am getting the Halo Reach Firefight maps as we speak, but I would like to be sure which dialogue you mean.

Once I know, I will see if I can replicate you issue and see if we can figure it out. I remember a little while ago that I was able to preview and extract Firefight sounds, but I just don't remember which is was I was able to do so (character voices or the announcers voice).

EDIT!:
I can confirm that I can preview AND extract the announcer voice dialogue. To find these files, I would HIGHLY recommend to everyone to switch to the "Folder Hierarchy" view, which can be accessed via the view tap at the top of Adjutant. This has greatly helped me when I am looking for something specific (in this case, sounds). You still have trouble finding the announcer voice dialogue, then let me know. But if you are switch to the view I just recommended you should not have ANY problems finding what you are looking for.

Hope this helps. Also when extracting sounds files from Halo Reach, make sure you have "towave.exe" in the same directory as the "Adjutant.exe" file. This IS a must to have any of the sounds work properly. I hope this help everyone having issues with listening and extracting sounds from Halo Reach.

EDIT: I extracted the helmet files only into the aforementioned 'mess'. I did that by the following:

- Load up 'ca_forge_ravine' into Adjutant
- Find the multiplayer Spartan models (storm_masterchief_mp)
- Deselect all but 'armor_head'
- Export as OBJ file
- Load up in Blender

And this is what I got:



Whether or not loading this up as an EMF will have any impact on the file is out to jury - I don't have MAX installed right now. Ifanybody wants to try and report back, feel free.

DOUBLE EDIT

MAX throws an error of 'Vertex Coordinate too big, Adjust Vertex Scale'.

TRIPLE EDIT:

Zombiegrimm, I know you're reading this. Be patient, and maybe give the people who are working on this a shout out rather than taking all the credit yourself for the 405th to slather you in glory?

Yeah, I tried this and I realized I was looking in the wrong places. In Folder Hierarchy view, the announcer dialogues are in the sounds\dialog\multiplayer_en\ folder paths for ODST and for Reach, they were in the sounds\dialog\multiplayer paths. It gives you all the folders with corresponding game types.

I think I said a few posts back that I have people working on it - unfortunately, things like a heatwave and a relationship tend to slow things down a little. I promise that I will post up any progress as soon as I have it, I really do - I'm as excited as you guys are at the prospect of full, unbroken extraction capability.

On that note: I'll keep my ear to the ground regarding asset extraction for the new content to be added in October - namely, the new armour sets and skins. Since I highly doubt the Title Update will require a 7GB+ download, I'm willing to bet the patch will simply add the new content to the existing .map files - which means the patched files will need to be re-extracted from the X360 and re-downloaded to your hard drives.

I'm sorry I don't have anything more exciting for you guys, but as I said, these things take time. As soon as I know something, I'll pass it on to you guys.

Exactly, this is not a chat, you don't need to economize the time, Killer. You have more than enough time to correct your errors. Maybe capitals are not that important, some old/mature users don't use them, but punctuation and grammar are very important if you want people to understand what you're trying to say and to take you seriously.

How hard is to use capitals and commas at least? I'm 15, dude, and it is not hard at all, is it?

H3, Reach, and Halo 4 trees are all apart of the BSP used as instanced geometry. (It can also be seen in one of the vidocs for halo 4). However I just model my own trees and use the bitmaps.

Not really sure what you are talking about. If you had put like 3 minutes into looking threw maps to see if there were any tree objects you would have seen this:

I just loaded up "The Covenant" (100_citadel) from Halo 3 and found 3 different trees after looking for a min.

And, um, Sapien? Do you mean Adjutant? Not exactly sure what you are saying, but if you are talking about the tag tree view you need to go to the "View" tab and click on "Folder Hierarchy"

No idea. I obtained the source files for Adjutant from him a few weeks ago and haven't seen him since, although I know he occasionally pops by the forums to lurk.

Gravemind is taking a long break from this project but he did not want development to stop, so he gave its code to a few key people to keep the project going. Rose and my team being a few of those people.

No. This is still very much Gravemind's baby. I'm more or less just a front man/woman for making sure that the community gets releases, and troubleshooting issues. If it's news regarding Adjutant, more than likely it'll be myself or Elijah who posts it.

Might help to pool resources at some point rather than have two separate teams working on Adjutant. I've got an AIM handle if you ever want to collate our findings (not, unfortunately, that I have many).

You can, may need to look in other arias than the vehicle model though. I can assure you that you can indeed load a version of the pelican. I did.

I still can't find those reflection maps, I don't know how I am missing them this whole time.

from what I can tell the collision model is just a simi-lod version of the actual model. Could just make it in 3ds with a little bit of time. Not planning on looking into it till more H4 stuff is available.

No and No. The project has simi-changed hands for the moment, so there has not been a lot going on while everything is reorganized. And lol, BSP extraction? were you just expecting that to pop up overnight? Things like this take time, time which most people don't have too much of these days.

As for reflection maps, idk man, you must literally not be looking for more than 2 seconds.

We know. We've known for a good few months now. That's sort of the point of having sound extraction capability built into the program as a blatant feature - it's not some sort of mystic, terrifying Easter egg.

not rely jack rabbet gave it to me but i never new it worked for reach. i knew it worked for halo 3 but not reach and i can care less about halo 4s sounds i never liked them.
