So... what could you do with unicode_strings_list after this addon? I know that people could use xbox controller icons as item names and stuff like that, what what else could you do?

As far as I am aware, there is no editor for Microsoft Windows that allows you to edit .unicode_string_list and related tags -- properly.

Anyways, feel free to explain to us why anyone would need a mac only application to make maps for a windows only game. If the people can play the game, it means they have a way of running windows application (Dual boot, virtual machine, WINE, etc), so why do they need a mac application to do what windows applications already do?

Negatory! That String List Editor is broken and breaks tags because it does not properly add ids to the values, and (in the v2 by E3p0) saving as one type actually saves as the other, so you have to change the extension name. However, if you open the tag in Guerilla, add an entry and delete it again so you can save it, and save the tag, Guerilla fixes the tag (actually, the tag gets just more corrupted). Zeus outputs tags that are the same as Guerilla would output them, but does not further corrupt already-corrupted tags because it does it properly.

Anyway, Zeus is now the first public application that can properly read and write Halo Editing Kit unicode string tags!

Nope, app I linked you to saves them perfectly fine, no errors what so ever. I often create unicode string lists from scratch with it, so if it had any issues, it would most certainly have them there, but it doesn't. The String List Editor from steelix is the first public application that can properly read and write unicode string list tags.

"I can prove it to you, but I'm too lazy to upload screenshots and videos just to prove that something is broken... " Dick move.

You claim it is broken, but I've used it plenty of times, and it works perfectly, and has had no side effects from this so called 'corruption'. Kirby has even given an example of how it works fine, yet you're 'too lazy' to prove by pictures or video it's issues. You say it messes up the Id numbers, but it never has for me, so prove to us without a doubt that it is dodgy before you slam the work of others.

Nobody will take you seriously until you prove it, because if you won't, nobody's going to see any value in your work, because you'll be solving an already-completed issue.

Also starting with Mac means that you are directing your efforts towards the vast minority of people first, especially here. Y U limit yourself?

Does not seem right to me

Even if you run the string list maker natively.

You still have to go through the trouble of either dual booting or emulating the HEK afterwards<

completely passed up

Plus the whole thing about making a mac successor to the HEK while still realizing that, no matter what: you still have to go through the trouble of emulating the actual game to test anything ingame. As per the beta and final stages of asset development

To be honest, I don't think anyone here in this forum would use this tool, so this release would have little impact unless you do something similar on Windows.
