I have started this project on August 29th so far I am meeting point on creating this blind wolf, yes several of you may heard of this creature before back in Halo E3 2000 sadly it didn't completed it into final game. A number of of you may solicit why it doesn't look like from Halo E3 2000? Here is the point though I just couldn't reproduction the whole model because it was my options to aim create my own top quality blind wolf look and make it resemble as I can so you can have better experience with this living thing once you play.

Will this have animation?

Yes once I am finish this model then I will plan to make it low poly, rigg it and create a custom animation first. Oh it will also be textured.

Okay so far I am finished on creating the nose, jaw and on the other hand I am not still finish undertaking the teeth yet and donít worry concerning the body and the legs once I am finish doing the teeth I will do the legs and body. But remember itís up to you what do you want me to modify.

Here are the screens so far.

I've been interested in seeing a blind wolf in-game for a while, so it's good to see someone working on it. However, your current model seems to be a bit disproportionate compared to the original concept:

you need to include ears, eyes and probably a thung aswell.

No need for eyes. It's supposed to be a "blind" wolf, right?

You guys are honestly telling me that only me and joker can see the giant eyes on the original blind wolf model from bungie?... Sure, they're blind, but it doesn't change the fact they have eyes regardless of the fact they're useless and only a weakness (opening in the skull) to the critter.

If you're referring to the black spots towards the center of the head, above the mouth, I believe those may be nostrils. If you're referring to the large, round-ish lobes to either side of the presumed nostrils, I'm unsure as to whether or not those are actual eyes. They seem to be flesh-colored.

I'm referring to the GIANT EYE you can clearly see on his face, which does not match his scales, has the ROUND shape, and matches what you find on google images when you search "blind eye"

DEAR GOD I...

Welp, never saw that before. I still dunno if it's actually supposed to be an eye or if it's just a coincidence, but I can definitely see what you're looking at.

It does look eye-like, but just because it's round and a slightly different texture than the rest of the head doesn't necessarily mean that it is definitively an eye. Since it appears to have scales of some sorts, one could make the assumption that blind wolves are some sort of reptile, or at least repto-mammalian. If they are reptillian nature, the organ in question doesn't look too dissimilar from an ear.

Since it's a non-canon creature, it's open to interpretation; personally, I think I'd make the blind wolf eyeless, and have the circled organ be either an ear, or a lobe that houses something similar to the infrared-sensing Jacobson's Organ found in snakes.

It still seems a bit disproportionate. The blind wolf's head seems to be almost clamshell or egg-shaped (with the tapered end facing forward). The concept shows a bottom jaw that protrudes slightly, whereas your model has a much more pronounced protrusion. The concept also seems to have cheeks (to some degree), and a more streamlined torso.

I was talking about bungie concept it doesn't look like anything like E3 gameplay 2000. You can watch it then you will see its big difference.

The video's highest quality seems to be 240p, so I'm having trouble making out any major details that would constitute a big difference between the concept art and what they had in-game.

Your words suggest that Bungie's model has nothing in common with the concept. That is wrong.

I put a blind wolf ingame a couple of years ago as a fully rigged animated biped/actor. Textures I made were terrible though. Might make better ones at some point.

If I'm not mistaken, either advancebo or HDoan was able to pull the blind wolf model out of some pre existing halo code. If you could get your hands on that, it may be easier to edit the model to be more HD or use it as a better base

That appears to be a (rather broken) version of my blind wolf. I remember i uploaded the model onto a thread at one point so i assume that's where he got it from.

E: Here's all the tags of my blind wolf if anyone wants to take a look or mess around with it. It's pretty old and not great quality though.

Do you know what your talking about? Doesn't matter if the faces are triangulated, what the heck do you think a 4-sided polygon is made of? 2 triangles...

What he doesn't want is n-gons as then the engine may triangulate the face in a way that looks wrong.

Edit:
@sshers4 - Model a basic shape in Max/Maya first, will make things easier.

Edit 2: fixed typo..

I really don't know if it's just me but those who created the blind wolf they need to spend time on it and the model is like MEH.

I think sshers4 blindwolf face looks more serious than other blindwolf out there right?

And then kirby lazily does something.
(honestly, just be glad I even textured it. I was going to do my usual checkered everything lol, but then there was an ok snake skin image, that I could make tilable fairly easily, plenty of eye pictures... And then the eye texture worked pretty well on the teeth, and then a tongue image. 1705 faces)

Is that what they are teaching at schools now?
Last i checked, a 3 sided polygon was a triangle.
