The Scorpion is just a placeholder for a heavy tank, I believe, so it makes sense that it's slow and well-armored. To deter tank campers from taking up positions around the base, though, adding a grenade launcher, gauss rifle, or rocket launcher with a small amount of ammo to the armory might be helpful. Say, four rounds for the gauss, or two for the rocket launcher.

Just asking, but is there a rocket launcher on this map? You could give the projectiles tracking and have them increase in speed based on distance traveled. That'd make them good anti-vehicle weapons.

Pretty sure the Gauss rifle is a good AV weapon.

It is a good anti-vehicle weapon, but it doesn't have much splash damage, and it's very hard to use against aircraft at range. It requires a direct hit to have any substantial effects, and given its reduced rate of fire compared to the standard sniper rifle, it's not ideal for use against infantry. A rocket launcher, on the other hand, would fire a lower-velocity round (making it a bit harder to use at long range) with high splash damage (making it better against infantry and giving it a bit more stopping power against tanks), which would make it more of a dual-purpose weapon. If it were to receive a moderate degree of homing, it could also be used against aircraft a bit more easily than the gauss rifle, though I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of a homing rocket that could be turned against ground vehicles.

The guass hog's projectile needs more damage for other vehicles. It's does just about squat against them.

Thats why I stated add the AT4 its light, easy to use, accurate, and can't be used to spam rockets at the enemy base.

Also you can dispose of it and it doesn't take up a weapon spot like the original rocket launcher or RPG do.

This is Halo styled map. AT4 is not very Halo.

Halo still uses lock-on rockets and the javelin should still be used by them.

This is 2552 (or 2557 if you're going halo 4 on us). Nobody would be using an antequated 21st century firearm in the 26th century. You want something like a Javelin? Use the M-21 SSM from Halo 2.

This is another good idea. Perhaps the primary mode would be dumbfire, while a brief charge-up time would enable homing?

We have a laser. Just make the spawn for the Laser randomly change between the Rocket and Laser so there isn't too many power weapons.

For the spade, as of teh current version, there is no side seat at the dashboard section and the spade needs a pure red like in v2,056. and a blue spade needs to be spawned near the blue and the green for the middle.

There is a side seat for the Spade, but you can only use it if someone's already driving it.

For the heavy weps debate, I still think keeping the Gauss Rifle (with less drop and more splash damage) is really enough... (or, if you HAD to do something big, change the Splazer with a barely-homing Rocket Launcher).

Also, to balance out the RLs, is there a way to create something like the flares that military aircraft use to deflect heat-seeking missiles?

For the base... I like the underground bases too, but (besides the tiny armory doors) I like Bourrin's too xP
Higuy mentioned adding a second middle base earlier in this thread; could that base be underground like in 1.71/1/81?

Since I have extra space to write now, Altis, you were talking about having active camo as a secondary "weapon" on the binoculars on future builds.
Are you sure that won't overload the map with scripts and cause the same problems in 2.069~071?

Altis, set the Falcon driver's pitch auto level (vehicle, seat) to -10. That seems to fix it.

A weapon which spawns equipment doesn't require scripting.
Having an equip you can save for later would be cool. You'd occasionally score an equip from a kill, too.

Might be possible by making falcon spawn some bipeds when driver presses flashlight button. I actually thought of the same thing when I wanted to make a map with jets.
