8gb DDR3
2.5 TB RAID array

Upgrading to an b85/i5 4570 platform with whatever GPU is most appealing when I get the chance. AMD processors are sux :P

AMD is just the budget solution.. Also, jesse's thread is Halo related. Mine isn't. Nothing in common at all.

Runs Halo pretty well, OS still has some rather low framerates though.

No. In fact Halo's so hard to run that the computer actually turned sentient when I tried to play it, and deliberately blew up in my face. I now have to go buy a new prosthetic head.

Actually I won't. People waging their virtual manhood around for comparison is really boring.

However since this is a Halo CE video game forum and you need a PC to run it I will let is stay open as long as it stays civil and does not degenerate into OS or PC war of some kind

Dennis, have you ever been to a sports game with one of those guys? You know, peeps that drone on about how sports are boring unequal competitions evolved from people just waving their dongs around? And at the back of your mind you know they're right, but you also know they're just saying that to be edgy because they probably couldn't lift a bare barbell?

You are being that guy. Show your guns

@Waffles btw why 5yo cpu lol?

You should really consider upgrading from 775 socket. The change in performance is very noticeable.. I had a 775 socket too...

Okay, my real specs:

MB - Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965
RAM - 8GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz
Sound Card - Asus Xonar DS 7.1
Graphics Card - Asus Geforce GTX 650(non-Ti) 1GB, I'll upgrade later sometime when I have monies
Keyboard - Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 (which is awesome)
Mouse - Gigabyte M6880
Monitors - Not sure on the models, a 19" 1080p Kogan TV and a 32" 900p Toshiba TV
HDD 1 - WD 250GB something, not sure about the exact model
HDD 2 - WD10EZEX (1TB)
SSD - Samsung 840 Evo 120GB

Nuclear Reactor - Down for upgrades

E: Oh yeah, I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit as my OS. No, it isn't bad. In fact, I much prefer it to Windows 7, which I would swap for Ubuntu in an instant if I had a pre-built with W7 installed.

Nvidia GTX 860M (equal to 750TI) 2GB DDR5 VRAM
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
1920 x 1080 display, matte anti-glare
I have a multi-disk drive (DVD)
12GB DDR3 RAM

Forgot to mention I run Windows 7 64-bit

The graphics card on paper has the same specs as the 750TI, but in reality it seems to perform as well as a GTX 660 OC, which is my desktop card. it's odd, I can have the same graphics settings on my desktop PC, yet Call of Duty Ghosts (I know, not a good benchmark game) still stutters with the textures set to automatic or ultra. On my laptop, this stuttering isn't there, although both PCs get 60+ fps.

The laptop I bought on Amazon can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE70-Apache-Pro-012-17-3-Inch/dp/B00IMTQ5I2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401689350&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+GE70+apache+pro+012

I also left a review on it. I was almost going to get the Lenovo y510p with dual GTX 755M cards, but then I decided to go with this one because many reviews said that the Lenovo had trackpad issues and SLI configurations.

This laptop now appears to be my main gaming system since I installed GTA IV, BF3, COD (all the ones I own).

May I have a picture of your setup? Not that I don't believe it, I just want to see that gaming place of yours! Also, I want to mention that I play Halo on a projector, which no one has ever tried or done before so that makes me obviously the winner.
