Very minor bug detected, the AR top left HUD skips a round when finishing the bottom row. Shoot the AR one bullet at a time, glue your eyes to the HUD, and you'll see the glitch easily (produced on b30).

This http://opencarnage.net/index.php?/topic/1924-assault-rifle-hud-meter-fix/ fix works for Halo PC (bug is there too), don't know about CE though but it should work. It's a pain to inject bitmaps, would it be too much hassle to patch your maps and re-upload?

Well, the fix comes as a .dds file (which I usually deal with only in Bethesda games). How do I get it in game, exactly?

@sshers4

I'll think about it. But, I am a singleplayer guy by default.

Update: B40 uploaded.

No worries take your time.

I notice that I was playing halo 1 anniversary on 360 with original graphics and the shaders looks alot better than halo pc. I hope you can bring those back.

I shouldn't really blame gearbox or bungie because back then it was complex.

Like I said in the past, graphics aren't my strong suit. Most issues were already fixed by my updated tags. The Jackal Shield fix and the Stationary Shield were by other people. I had to be pointed in the right direction for the Energy Sword glow issue. The Sentinel shield issue and the Scorpion HUD issues were about the only things I figured out on my own (though i was getting help on the former, the solution I was given wasn't working. The latter I tried to ask for advice on, but, the thread I created for the issue attracted a troll. Though in hindsight, i already had the solution, its implentation was incomplete).

There is still a problem when you shoot at the overshield. Dirt will come out and is supposed to come out as light like the Active Camo.

Also large covenant crates come out as dirt when shot at and needs to be changed to metal sparks like all metal objects such as small covenant crates.

Overshield powerups are present in a10, a50, b30, c10, c20, d20 and d40, (I think).
But when I checked again and shot assault rifle rounds (not pistol), they came out as dirt which it's supposed to be light just like CMT SPv3 a50.

This would be interesting. Many multiplayer maps had slight changes made to them during the port. For example, in Sidewinder, the teleporters are one-way in to the base on Xbox, but in PC they're two-way. I'm not arguing that some changes may have been made for the better, but it might be cool to compare them down to the spawns, weapons, teleporters, etc and perhaps restore the original Xbox maps.

Alright. Once i get home, I will take a look at the Overshield tags.

@stunt_man

Like I said, I'll think about. But, if I do, it will have to be after this project (which, to be honest, was very spur of the moment), and my main one (a multiplayer bot project. Before you ask, no, it is not going to be another "bots on Bloodgulch" mod, though Bloodgulch will be one of the supported maps).

Don't worry. As soon as i get the last of the issues with the first half of the campaign fixed, i'll work on the flood levels. But, today is my birthday, so, i'm going to take the day off and enjoy some TESIV Oblivion and Quake III Arena bot matchs.

Alienware

You're a terrible person for even suggesting that to him. Austen, build your own PC and get a hug from anyone who loves you while you're at it. :3

Gifted Alienwares are still a bad gift. If his parents really loved him. They either build him a PC or buy the PC parts for him.

Parents no nothing about a kids needs, it's better to give cash.

The only thing I asked for on my birthday was Quake III Arena. Now, lets get back on topic.

I will fix the Overshield and Covenant Crates in a little while. After that, I will reupload a10-b40. The I will compile and test c10.

Update: Fixed the issue with the Overshield. Additionally, I fixed that and Active Camo having incorrect collision models (Overshield had the Active Camo collision model, and vice versa). Uploading the updated maps now. The only outstanding issue left with the first half is the shuttle bay door in a50, but, unless someone can provide a fix (as it is beyond my capabilities to fix), that may remain unfixed.

Update 2: Uploaded.

Can this also go to HAC2 or is it impossible.

Until HAC2 works without an internet connection, i can't answer that.

Update: Sorry if I sounded irritated. I just don't get why they made fixing the issue such a low priority, and it frustrates me very much. Also, I fixed the issue with the Large Covenant Crates. Meant to fix it yesterday, but, the reversed collision geometry for the powerups distracted me from that. Will upload the updated maps. Unless someone has a fix for the a50 shuttle bay doors, I will be moving on to the second half of the campaign.

This may be a bit too much and unnecessary but when you feel finished may you post a changelog of sorts? Would be interesting to see a complete list of things fixed or changed.

I will, once i'm finish. Also, thanks for the bump, danger_zone. I have been taking a small break to play Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. But, not before fixing all the issues I could with the first half of the campaign. Though i can't remember if i uploaded the fix for the large Covenant Crates. Can anyone verify that those now have the proper impact effects?

yesterday me and some friends were comparing the xbox and pc version of halo and we were shocked to see how much detail was gone in the pc port. We are thinking about doing a port of the xbox quality stuff, but it's only an idea atm, a fixed campaign and tags could help a lot.

There is some stuff that just cant be fixed, mostly some of the fog effects that kill the sky of b40 and C10's swamp. Also some of the HUD elements as well. A guy I met at PAX wrote this article, you should give it a look, especially Page 6.

Was that there at the start of the level or did it end up there after combat? That info can help me resolve the bug.

Edit: Just saw that you had three pictures. But, my question still stands. Though if it was there at the start of the level, then I have no honest idea how I would of missed it.

Restoring the fog noise is possible to a degree, however I haven't tried my method on stock vanilla maps. It might pop in and out when there are a lot of particles on the screen.

Yours isn't really restoring it though, its just doing something that looks like it IIRC. Or hopefully I am wrong.

Okay, since someone decided to accuse me of ripping and stealing credit, I'll make it clear:

I did not rip any shaders. The only shader that may have been ripped was the Assault Rifle shder fix, but, i wasn't the one who ripped it. Everything else is custom. Here are the credits;

Bungie, for the Assault Rifle shaders
SOI7, for the Stationary Shield damage shaders
CMT, for the Jackal Shield shaders and Bitmaps
Delicon20, for the singleplayer tag set
Nexus, for some of the Scenario files I used
