Hey, I'm not sure if you guys have seen this, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it.

That island in the picture is completely made of Forge pieces.

Halo 2 Anniversary is getting 3 new blank Forge maps, the first of them being named "Awash". The unique thing about the forge opportunities in H2A is the ability to create full terrain environments from scratch. On top of this, you can place interactive buttons and switches, and have fine control over object location.

Check out the IGN video here.

What do y'all think of this?

Do you know what would be even better than this? What would be even better than just a PC release of this game? Halo: MCCCE (Master Chief Collection Custom Edition). It would include fully unlocked mod tools for all 4 games (I guess 6 if you want to count HA10 and H2A separately) and compatibility with existing H1 CE content.

^Me if they did it

On one hand, it's pretty cool that Forge is finally capable of letting players build a professional-looking map from the ground up. On the other hand.... are these blank maps going to come with some prebuilt variations, or are they just shipping blank BSPs with different skyboxes? Because if it's the latter, it seems really lazy compared to, say, Forge World.

They'll probably have at least one prebuilt map per canvas, like they did in Halo 4. As a side note, I hope one of the canvases in H2A forge has Covenant structure pieces.

Yeah, this looks pretty incredible. It's actually convinced me to eventually get an X1. Can't afford to atm as I want to buy a laptop first but by next year, I'm hoping to get an X1 just for the MCC now. That forge is just marvellous.

I just hope somebody finally remakes Yoyorast Island properly, and perhaps Yoyorast Island V2 as well.(since the new button system would allow the panic rooms to work)

In that picture, is the HUD supposed to be from 343 Guilty Spark? Those things did not build the ring, they were made to manage it.

We know this, but monitors resembling 343 Guilty Spark have been used as the player model for Forging since Halo 3.

You can forge on all of the Anniversary maps (since they're in Halo 4+'s engine) and these three new specific forge maps. Which gives you 9 additional maps to mess with.

Gosh you haven't paid much attention have you. Forge is not just those 9 maps, those are 9 ENTIRELY NEW maps to Halo 2 Anniversary that are IN ADDITION now to the ones already available in Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4. That's at least 50+ maps that you can forge on in their respective engines.

Hmmm, COD has an xbox360 port, would be nice if 343i did the same.

TBH, I don't see what all the drama is about with the xbox one.

Granted it looks the part, functions the part. But the ratio of games released versus it's havibility is atrocious.

If I knew there would only be 2 xbox one games worth buying, I would have saved my money and donated it to ce3.com.

4real.

Okay, Okay. Perhaps game devver's are still hard at work producing quality games exclusively for the console bt stil.....THEY TAKE TOO LONG!

Yeah, I really want to play the MCC now after watching videos but there are so few other exclusives for the X1 that it's not really worth it. It'd be 300 just for the MCC. Quantum Break and Fable Legends will probably be on PC eventually and there are plenty of alternatives to Forza. I hear Sunset Overdrive is awesome, but again that leaves just Sunset Overdrive and Halo.

The Halo MCC does look really great though so tempted but it's the only game really worth getting an X1 for /:

Halo is the reason I bought a Xbox One, as did people when Halo came with the Xbox and Halo 3 with the 360. Why are people having doubts now?

I bought a Xbox One because of it has third-party games unlike the Pii U which is a G3 powered piece of crap (Yes the same one that powered those 90's Macs). :^)

I could probably fork up the money for the $350 Sunset Overdrive bundle + $60 Halo: Ann but the problem is I rarely actually play games....

Halo was indeed the primary reason to get an original Xbox, but back then the Halo series was still fresh and creative. Not to mention a new level of graphic fidelity on console. For Xbox 360, Halo 3 was supposed to finish the trilogy, nobody would miss that.

Now on Xbox One, Halo is simply being used as the milk-cow. Of course you know what you're getting with the MCC, but it's just a remake. And Halo 4's new storyline direction I thought to be terrible, so I wouldn't care for the next Halo games most likely.

I can't warrant a purchase of a console just for a (very good) remake of games I've played before. There's just too few other exclusives (Forza being one) available right now.

Sorry to be a pedant here, but the Wii didn't have a G3 in it. It ran a fair bit faster than those chips. If you're meaning that it used a PowerPC-based CPU, then yes, you'd be correct. But the 360's Xenon CPU and the PS3's Cell chip were also PowerPC.
That, and they still continue to be some of the fastest CPUs available.

Oh trust me, I already spend plenty of money on CE3. $110 for the new mic I bought. $25 for Bryan Cox. $Website & $Server plus other stuff I'm sure I've missed.

If all of our CE3 2014 viewers donated 25 cents to CE3, we'd be able to air it ad-free in 2015.

I'm getting it, but I'm prepared for disappointment regarding the fine details of CE (splitscreen FOV, no custom game list, only 1 playlist at launch, etc).

But it will be worth it if they fix the netcode.

Time to git gud.
