I guess Microsoft knew that xbox one didn't sell well so they decided to focus on pc platform and phil spenser said all games will make it to Windows pc

Phil spenser will talk about PC on 1 January 2015. He made an statement that he will focus more on pc.

So is this it? Are we finally going to see halo collection pc?

Inb4 Hwars PC port.

I honestly wouldn't mind that on PC.

yeah you beat me to it. The Xbone may not be #1, but last month they did sell more than the PS4 and they probably still have more sold than the WiiU. The Xbone is doing fine in terms of sales.

I'd be so darn happy! I love Halo Wars, being able to (hopefully) mod it would be even more amazing!

Reach would be neat. It actually be my preferred game for us to edit. Would be nice to have that be an incentive to get people playing on both platforms and encourage PC users to get XB1 for MCC.

I think it would be Reach as it was one of the lesser popular ones and isn't on the Xbone atm.

If 343 had any common sense, theyd port Halo 3 first. Since you know
Halo 1 is on PC
Halo 2 is on PC
Halo 3 is next in the series and isnt on pc

My speculation: Microsoft announces crazy new PC service, makes you pay for live, memberships, yadayadayada, MCC on PC comes out, incredibly stripped or no HEK, nobody is happy, everyone commits sepeku. the end.

Well obviously it has to be Reach since it comes before Halo 1 and 2, and it isn't on PC. Oh man, oh man.
/commonsense
PS: Phil Spencer is going to disappoint you guys like he does us all when he gives us those 'Trash for Gold' games.

Sadly, that's more likely than a Halo port.

painfully true
but tbh, since halo reach was not included in MCC, and is only available on a console they no longer support, they have no legitimate reason that a PC version (not some sh!# H:R for win8 with no EK) would hurt their sales.
but this is M$ we're dealing with, at best they'll confirm spartan strike on PC summer 2552 (right after CMT SPv3's release)

So you guys are only in it for the engine? Then why not just go to another one that's already out?

new content isn't a mod. hhtmods are mods.

Even if I went after different engine work, I doubt other communities would approve of making halo assets and BSPs. It's akin to branding yourself the dirty-foreigner(in terms of content creation)

And legal crap if their total vogon of an administrator doesn't approve of foreign game assets whether or not you *make them yourself*

Even if Microsoft decides to release Reach or 3, what are the chances they come with an editing kit?

Well they made one with halo 2 vista (even though it sucked).

Probably really low and they'll just be like "YOU GOT FORGE"

I would be okay with a H2Vish esque EK these days, long as they dont actively strip code and ruin the game its self.

i'm sorry, but the fanboying needs to stop.

a lot of H2v's mistakes and flaws don't have to be repeated in the event of another halo port.

for starters, there is legitimately, no excuse why they couldn't include most of the tools used to make the game, and at the least include the features and advancements of directx11, plus support for third party post effects and shaders. then the fact that they wouldn't have to host their own servers means it wouldn't need to run through windows live or some crap. H2v was, is not, and will never be ok, and i doubt any terrible halo port on pc would last as long as H2v did, if it has the same crappy cuts.

Well we are never getting a full EK like with H1, with all the advances in modding a H2EK like port would give us a lot of capabilities.

personally custom weapons, characters, animations, and levels are really what pushed the game to make it fun. Having custom campaign maps were fun too and messing around with all that is awesome amounts of fun.

Well if H2V weren't a broken game and SP map compiling wasn't an issue, we'd be able to directly port H1 tags into H2 (and some h3+ back into H2) which is why a mostly broken toolset wouldn't bother me to much. Over the holidays me and some people are going to give H2V SP map compilation a second look, because if it can be done it opens a lot new possibilities to the game.
