To my fellow mappers: I am currently having difficultly getting VISR mode to work with the current version of OS, as its not showing up at all in the maps I placed the VISR tags and scripts in. Even with the maps that don't have the scripts (just the OS tags), it won't function there either.

How can I solve this issue?

I actually remember having issues with it in the a50 build a while back on the current OS build. Not sure what was up and never really thought about it

It works.

If it doesn't work, you're not doing something right or your computer doesn't support it (i'm running 3.1.0 and it's implemented successfully in sector 09)

Nope, although unlike the other maps with VISR mode, it does produce an odd lighting effect where the BSP is slightly illuminated with a green light.

Other than that, it doesn't work at all.

That's weird. It works fine for me with the latest build and I have not heard any other people complain.

It sounds to me like it is something wrong with your settings and you have certain post processing capabilities disabled.

you have to script it properly. If you don't then it wont work

Nope, it's all fully enabled and set up like how it was in the past.

What's your GFX card?

It's an AMD R7 200.

I ran OpenSauce on my old computer before I got my new one which supports all of the shader settings, and VISR did not work on the old one due to an outdated card that doesn't support OS's capabilities. The latest build of opensauce does support VISR and post processing features / capabilities.

Like masterz said, double check to make sure your settings (located in C:\Users\YOURNAME\My Documents\My Games\Halo CE\OpenSauce\ and open the "OS_Settings.user.xml" document. All of the commands are self-explanatory, so give that a shot.

Here's what mine looks like:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

-<osYeloSettings engine="Halo1_CE">

-<client>

-<dx9>

<nVidiaActiveCamouflage basic="false"/>

<GBuffer enabled="true"/>

-<PostProcessing>

<MotionBlur enabled="true" amount="1"/>

<FXAA enabled="true"/>

<Internal enabled="true"/>

<External enabled="true"/>

</PostProcessing>

<Upgrades renderModelNodesPatch="true" dynamicTriangles="true"/>

-<ShaderExtension enabled="true">

<SpecularMap enabled="true"/>

</Model>

</ShaderExtension>

</dx9>

<Hud scale="true" show="true"/>

It used to work on my computer just fine.

I tried that recently, and VISR mode still doesn't work.

Any ideas on what the problem could be, other than the graphics card? If VISR mode worked before, then the issue has to be something else unless the AMD R7 line is legitimately incompatible with OS.

EDIT:

To those who can get VISR mode to work just fine, what do the contents of your OS_Settings.PostProcessing file look like?
