I was just thinking about any proyect that has been cancelled or dead, im planning that I can bring them to life in a not so far time, maybe middle of 2017? I wasnt here for a much long time, now im only want to details of any proyect if this nature, how much work it have or other things. A lot of you may think this is a joke, but its not, at this level I can make basic, perhaps decent mods. But I wish to bring back any hopes you might have lose, still I dont know if any other has done this kind of rescue actions, in case of not I will be the first to do this

I remember a mission based on H2 that was pretty good I can't remember the map name cos I formated my HHD but if somebody know just type the name.

It's based off DMT Cairo Station, a map you can dl on the site and it would have featured OS H2 tags. Honestly the gameplay is not fun enough for it to come back. Numerous talks about bringing it back occurred and were almost executed. The last iteration would have been mostly story based and would have the player going around the station sealing hangars and repairing systems like life support.

If there is one project that should be continued, it should be the Halo 2 Single Player Project, the one that was basically Halo 2's campaign ported to Halo Custom Edition (though it featured content from later games as well as custom content too).

This would not only be a excellent treat for those who were disappointed by Halo 2 lacking what they wanted to see (most notably, the version of the New Mombasa mission that didn't turn out to be like the Halo 2 E3 2003 demo), but those who like seeing things remade with modern content.

Another thing this could do is renew Halo Custom Edition's popularity if the news of H2SPP's release spreads, along with videos that promote attractive features. It's possible that H2SPP could boost Halo Custom Edition's popularity beyond it's former peak, so this could expand Halo Custom Edition communities, and extent its lifespan.

EmmanuelCD, continuing H2SPP will be doing something real good for those who love this game, and it would provide a true luxury to those who enjoy custom content. I encourage you to do this, and I'd be one of the many giving you a thanks.

It's also possible that you'd end up being the most famous, and adored Halo CE mapmakers in history for doing this.

Thanks for the info, i heard about this in early 2014, but I thought it was a firefight, (hope im not mistaking it with another map)

Later I can search more of this, but it will be a large amount of work, the problem would be basically the port of bsps, into HCE. Right now I on my own sp map, starting in middle of 2016, at that point I would have more experience. I imagine how much work Matt have with only S-117

I wish I could help you out with something like that, but taking on the hardest parts of a project like this is out of my reach. :\

In the event that you have your desired experience, I also recommend that you implement features on the scale shown in TSC:E into the revival of H2SPP (if you plan to do it), and that will further the popularity of these maps.

After breifly watching the video of what was done, a firefight map like that would take a lot of work. While the low-gravity physics make it interesting, things such as AI would need major work (they just spawn in, no dropships or anything). I'm not convinced that BSP would be a good design for a firefight either, as AI don't seem to be able to easily follow the player around. In firefights the AI must come to the player, not the other way around. Good luck to anyone willing to pick that project back up.
