This tutorial explains how to set up a Halo dedicated server. The approach I demonstrate is one that I use on my dedicated server computer in order to simultaneously host multiple Halo dedicated servers, among other Halo-related things. The tutorial includes installing and some basic configuration for SAPP. I only do the walkthrough with Halo PC's dedicated server files, but you can do the same with Halo Custom Edition's server files.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brb2DicGsGY (Maybe check this link around 1 hour from the time of this post to view the 1080p video.)

Enjoy! This video was recorded using ScreenFlow for Mac, which is my usual video recording software.

Just would like to say thank you, I know this was done to help me out and anyone that comes along in the future. But the fact you took time out to create this for me earns you a lot of respect with me, so I mean it when I say thank you.

I have searched Google, YouTube, and several other forum sources for a good Halo PC Dedicated server guide, and while it was very easy to find guides, none were updated. This guide is going to help a lot of people, and hopefully help the Halo PC Community with some new blood, I noticed prices went up on the CD, used to be around $10.00 USD, and now it is around $20.00 USD + S&H. Could be a good thing??

Anyway mate +Rep

Best wishes,
0Z

1. Install SAPP's "Strings.dll" and "sapp.dll" files into your Halo Custom Edition folder.
2. Add "load" to the end of your default init.txt file that you configured your shortcut link to use.
3. Start the haloceded.exe using your configured shortcut link.

Then look again to see if SAPP added those folders -- and if not, then try to find where it put your "sapp" configurations folder. Maybe due to a lack of administrator privileges, it put it inside a subdirectory of APPDATA.

i solved it!
the problem was i was using "<" on the command, as in your example :P
