I'm so happy to see our new team finally unveiled. Here is some new dreamweb eye candy. Sector 09 will be fully taking advantage of this tagset, the tagset will be very flexible and customizable!





Here is that same SMG with some neat attachments.





Here is our new beam rifle which was seen at the CE3 demo.



Here is our new concussion rifle ingame!





Dreamwebs tagset is fully customizable in tag form, the colors and lights on the gun can be changed. But we also will have source files and attachments for extended customization, and tons of different variants of guns that are both new and from halo lore. This tagset alone will be a huge package that can satisfy any map makers needs.

All content that's ported will always be modified so it works with our goals. It will never be a straight rip and ingame.

The feedback we have gotten has been very good and we appreciate it very much! Thank you to everyone! I was watching the stream and I crapped my pants and got chills at the cruiser even though I've seen this trailer so many times and I'm helping make this lmao.

I gotta say that this guy right here has put in so much work towards the tagset, and has done a tremendous job helping Sector 09. If it weren't for him, you wouldn't have seen those covenant weapons we used in the trailer. Props to you, AI! :D

Is there any halo weapons from other halo media and stuff that you guys would like to see implemented into dreamweb and sector 09? A custom plasma caster could be cool.

MA5K is already planned, as we want to stuff in as many weapon variants as possible (both old and new) to please everyone who would want to use this tagset. Needle rifle could be cool, I will probably add it in but since the carbine fills its role nicely it might not appear in sector 09. Plasma Launcher will probably happen.

Call the team whatever the hell you want really. But you wouldn't know the difference unless you were both internally at VKMT and Poly.

We are still discussing how our shield and health system will work. The most popular idea so far is to have health like ODST but have armor (like in classic fps games) that is basically a shield that won't regenerate unless you grab armor packs.

I can't say if we are gonna release dreamweb at the same time as sector 09, I would feel much better with a complete release but we could also just release whatever we use.

Sector 09 was never cancelled, it just changed from a solo project to a group effort.

I also vote for the Plasma Caster. I guess it's super easy to do, it's just a blue Concussion Rifle with a different stock, grip and magazine. Just be sure to add the overcharged function shown at the E3 gameplay. Also, I give my cookies to who decided to make the Halo Reach Fuel Rod Gun purple instead of golden... that was a brilliant idea

The gun and the rods themselves can be color changed.

One thing I noticed was the purple color. While I like the fact that you brought the purple back from the halo 1 gun, I feel like you should make adjustments to the plasma rifle to make it a lighter shade of blue as a result. Each covenant weapon has a unique ability to be recognized from a distance due to the color. Halo 2 switched to gold for the beam rifle though, but since the fuel rod gun is much larger it may be less of an issue.

One more thing, personally never been a fan of the halo 4 beam rifle, especially since the sound you guys are using doesn't fit the aesthetic of the gun. Maybe look into giving it a different sound that fits the gun?

Sounds aren't final. Will be a mix of H1A, H2A, HO. Also I'm not sure if any color adjustments were done to the guns for the demo, they used to be pretty bright.
