Phantom BSP's are invisible walls all around the map, you can't shoot through them. They can be really annoying and brake the flow of gameplay so better fix them.


So should i use player clipping? But they are outside, its suposed that the doesnt go around the map.

Send me the HUD tags and I'll see if I can fix up some of the bitmaps for you.

Also, do your meters drain properly? I think I've only ever seen you show off the AR part of the HUD.



I Really would like if u could update ur HUD tutorial,im stuck with alphas and i cant do anything beyond PS,i have plenty HUD designs id like uoi to look unto. Geton skype plox apelman92

It's coming out nicely. Since it's still a wip, I won't comment the tagset yet, and I'll just focus on the BSP.

Like other people said, try to make lightmaps be affected by lights. Also, it would be cool if you added some light volumes that come from the ground. Maybe like what you showed in the OP pic from Crysis:



See that blue energy wall that comes from the ground? That's what I'm talking about. You could add it via shader_transparent_chicago and make it non-collidable.

And lastly, I'd add some sort of sceneries, but that's up to you

Well, thanks for the sugestion, i will add more geometry to the map, in fact it already has that blue and orange lights, but i dont have them verticaly. I tried to fixed the phantom bspīs, but they always apear in other part. Right now i has one at the top of the level and another near the floor next to a blue tower

Small update

I add more light geometry to the map. This is what i got:





The shader is awfull, tomorrow i will change it and run lightmaps again, this time with vray, and with more lights

Definitely in the right direction. I'd say make the hardlight texture as a solid gradient, instead of having those "spikes". I'd also suggest to put them only in few places, like the floor depressions. Too many of them aren't really good.

Once the BSP is done, I could help you trying to improve that crappy H4 tagset in some way

I gave you full and total control of the bsp and the map, only give credits to thier respective owners.

Maybe i will release a v3 but i need mor info, time and ideas to improve it, until so i will work on another 2 cool projects. One of them is 6 month delayed and the other is new. is all i can say

As i sayed before, Bsp, custome shaders and bitmaps are made from me. The Tagset (Weapons and Bipeds) where made from SHM. I edit some of the difuse maps, i didnt asked them so their still from them. The H5 sounds where recorded by a youtuber and i ported them.

So technically i work alone, but i always ask to people what they whant and how is my work progressing

Color me impressed. Though I have no idea what SHM is supposed to mean.
