How to play Halo CE custom maps:
Step 1: purchase a gaming computer

Let me know when you've done that, and I'll guide you through the other steps! :-)

Alright nice! Glad you're still with me.
Step 2 is to purchase the Halo CE game legally.

Let me know when you're ready to go to step 3 :-)

I'll speed it up.

You need to make sure you're on V1.10. At 12pm EDT there is 600 players online (peak times get up to 1000+). If you don't see this player count you're not on the right version and you need to update.

In terms of custom maps only the most popular ones are played on. Just start your own server, see who joins, or make gamenights with specific less played maps.

I just play by my self against imaginary players.

I have no friends :(

The only reason I play computer games is because of the social multi and coop player potential.

Oh don't say that. If the general consensus continues as it is soon there won't be any campaign mode to speak pf. Split screen is already going the way of the dodo.

And consider us loners, what would we do?

We'd be forced to take up other hobbies such as going out side and talking to people.

Gosh, the mere thought of such unspeakable acts brings an ungodly tremor to my carpal tunnel riddled bones.

Interesting. I have the exact opposite reasoning.
I don't much care for multiplayer as much as I do for the singleplayer story.

Same reason I play here. I hate playing in quiet servers or with no talkers online. Multiplayer I always imagine is one giant social interaction.
