Sorry guys, I was having my exams which ended today, now I will get about 1 month of free time to make the UI. There are certain possibilities of new things to be implanted in the UI which were possibly not in any haloce ui map before. However, that might take a bit more time. (Take it from me, don't get hyped about this).

[SPRINT 343 Industries "Making a game of the scale of Halo requires lots of people from various backgrounds, plenty of hard work and time... lots of time".]

If I am unable to implement all those new features, I will upload just the good looking UI with all the current features that you love. Don't worry, I won't make you wait too long :) .

I am stuck a bit, I can only resume when I get a work around. Really wish MooseGuy was here. What is UUI without him? Does someone know how to contact him or whether he will help at all. I still want to make it. I hope u guys will understand me.

The Universal UI v2.0 is now a part of CMT project. This project is far from dead. There will be two versions of the UI. One for SPV3 called SPV3 UI. And the other, UUI v2. As the names suggest, SPV3 UI will support SPV3 maps only while UUI will support many other maps including SPV3 and firefights.

yeah, I've done it now too. Korn must have changed it in 4.0

It seems temperamental though, If you have a .yelo and then remove it the game will freeze and you have to add it back to get it to boot to the regular one.

UUI started as a project for CMT in it's initial concept but Moose and I agreed it be best to include all maps and campaigns in it. The reason it is being done for SPV3.1 first is because we need it first, and everything that needs to be done for SPV3.1's UI will need to be done for the next UUI anyway. Even if we prioritized UUI over SPV3.1, it would come out at the same date.

DLMs will improve the look of that BSP by displaying normal maps without the need of dynamic lighting based on the viewing angle.


I don't know what you're doing with a scrolling 2d texture, care to elaborate?

You can't animate BSP, so there's an option at shader environment where you "scroll" textures like shader transparent extensions, considering that the Halo Ring rotates. Adding some layers on top of the surface combing specular maps with normals you can get very pleasant results.

Not exactly, it has become a very old concept compared to the one designed newly. However the over all layout remains more or less same. Some missions from UUI v1 would be cut cause the developers have cancelled them. Some very old missions would also be cut to make way for new missions. A new CMT campaign would also be added.
