Welcome to Omega


Welcome to the Omega Campaign. After the war, humanity decides to venture back out into the stars, colonising as they once did. Your ship, the Mobius, has just arrived at a planet formerly held by humanity. It is listed as abandoned, having been previously owned by the UNSC the planet is heavily guarded by Covenant loyalists. It is obvious to yourself and the Commander that these Covenant still believe the war is in full swing.

Your mission is to make landfall, discover what the Covenant are doing on this world and sabotaging their research.

Is it too early to say this could be a bountiful year for sp mods on HMF?

There are more then expected atm, SPV3 will partially come out this year, SOI's campaign just did and then this, great year already :)

Not that I've submitted it to CE3, but I'm currently reworking the entire of my wintersmith campaign into a single map with redone BSP's, textures, scripts, encounters ect.

Wintersmith was the first real single player thing that I did, and it shows. so I figured now, three years since I finished it, I might as well redo it, with the knowledge I have now. It's coming along nicely.

yes. This time it has cut-scenes. I also removed the flinching animations from the marine you play as so that it doesn't stop you being able to shoot any time you get hit.

I need help guys. Concepts artists please, anyone who is good at drawing relatively detailed interiors for Forerunner structures.

I seriously doubt you will find that sort of talent here and if hypoyhetically that sort of expertise did exist within the walls of hmf it would undoubtedly be locked behind CMT.

I randomly googled these though, perhaps it may spark something within you.

















Additionally if you are looking for something more compatible with CE. Try taking a peek at the TSC:E MAX source files.

The forerunner interiors located within are simply sublime.

And you also have adjutant at your disposal.

If you're aiming for originality... well, no one actually ever made a Forerunner structure similar to the H4 ones, so... even if someone doesn't like 343i's art style... *blinks*

Especially The Art of Tron: Legacy has some good inspiration imo.


I disagree with Aliens as a viable source of inspiration seeing as that terraforming structure depicted in the img you selected was designed (in lore sense) by humans whereas the OP specifically requested aid in whatever form to be forerunner in nature.

Tron works though.

But nothing is better than this.

The decisions behind the TSC:E forerunner structures was simply to match that of H3 is quality, and ultimately while pretty caused huge amounts of problems. I'd suggest going for something simple and elegant. I agree with SOI it be great to see a variation of 343's forerunner art style, tuned to resemble H1 in material more closely.

For details i could use zbrush or mudbox and then bake one texture.

h5g sucks, halo 2 is good and masterz1337 is wrong.
