Do you mean the map doesn't appear in your maps folder, or it doesn't compile at all, or not visible in the UI menu?

Check your virtual store folder and see if it went in there.

If it didn't compile, paste a screenshot of what Tool said.

Run cmd as administrator, and right click on tool, properties, compatibility tab, check run as administrator.

I had this problem too when I would compile a map, and because UAC freaks out on Windows 10, it would compile but map would just not be there.

ok ill try the 2 of your ideas

EDIT: It wasn't in my virtual store folder so I tried running the two of them as administrators and when i open the original tool it starts rebuilding it and then closes after a split second and doesn't rebuild it and when i try rebuilding it using OS tool i get this error (i couldn't upload image cause i'm new here,i have to wait 3 more days)
'tool'is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

No I mean, type cmd into your searchbar into Windows, right click, open file location, find cmd.EXE, not the shortcut, put it in your halo custom edition folder, where tool is, right click on cmd.exe and properties, run as administrator, open cmd.exe and type

os_tool build-cache-file-ex "" 1 0 1 levels\test\tutorial\tutorial
and it should compile just fine.

I might have mis understood what you posted, were you trying to open tool.exe by double clicking on it? If so, tool.exe has no GUI, it must be run through cmd.exe
