And a Halo Flood Carrier idea I had.


Just an idea for the Flood Carrier form from Halo. It spits out acidic Flood Spores at high speeds when at a distance, and melees with its tentacle arms that can retract or extend into its body when in closer range. When it's near death, dies, or in some close quarter encounters, it will explode, splattering and leaving a puddle of acid along with its usual bunch of Flood Spores that does no acid damage.

I've always appreciated your jackal stuff.

And looking at your flood carrier concept, it'd be cool if it not only spewed acid but also leaked flood infection forms. Dunno if it'd work though.

That flood carrier is pretty cool! Maybe we'll do something like that for SPV3's.

Acid is sort of a xeno thing. Moreover the floods MO is more to absorb and takeover rather to kill.

Hispeed flood spore ordinace seems enough really.

But what would be the point? The flood already have biological mechanisms in place to convert and assimilate life forms with sufficient mass and cognitive ability. An acidic based emission would seem wasteful, unnecessary and far too damaging in face of the primary goals of the flood.

Perhaps you could modify the acid formula into some type of highy infectious viral emissis, the cause of which would mutate any organism which has the unfortunate luck to fall foul of this "zombie spew".

Essentially this bacticous vomit could be used as a mechanism to infect within a close proximity or instead focused upon areas with high population centres.
The concequences of such would be speedier assimilation with minimal resistence not to mention being an highly effective form of mass contamination.
