So i turned on my computer went to work on my map, when i opened sapien it crashed, and it crashes on every map. Here is the debug, help me magical wizards of the forums.

did you try to rip an OS-tag with HEK+ ?

Nope. I should probably mention that i completely reinstalled Halo CE and HEK and it came up with the same error.

The tag has the error, not the toolset.


The error you're getting is hs_syntax is too large, this means you're opening a tag that was opened with OpenSauce's version of the HEK at some point in time.


If you open any tag that OpenSauce has extended (shader_model, scenario, etc.) then you can only use OS_HEK for the tag going forward. OS_Guerilla and OS_Sapien add new data to several tag classes for the extended features of OpenSauce.

In other words; you or somebody else opened this tag in OS_HEK. It's now corrupted as far as the stock HEK is concerned. Either use OS_HEK going forward, or replace the tag with a stock one.

First try deleting everything in the scenario apart from player starting points and the .sky.
