i am using windows 10 for my pc, it runs better than when i was still using win xp/7.. but if you are talking about upgrade to windows 10 for the game.. for what i am thinking. it's worth a shot, if you really like and want to play the strategy game like that.

I haven't paid attention to the game since the crappy xbone beta. Does energy still act like money #2 or did they revert it back to how it was in HW1?

well well not bad for 2013 specs, my pc that I, made this pc,
well here's the
specs[], HI170 gaming 3 DDR 4, RAM is DDR 4 16GB[oc]type, GTX 980{OC}, Intel i5 6500 3.2 OC to 3.5, and for me power 850 G2, windows 7 starts up pretty fast thanks to fast boot,
gotta love all the news things this board adds.

anyway the hole point of this is to see if win 10 is worth getting at all,
ill wait a bit, to see more users with win 10, I know it's not worth getting a, xbox one for this, because pc is so much better, at lest for RST games.

MatthewDratt this is the game play video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r8bgvsOs1s it dose look pretty good

Nah, they didn't, but the size of your largest base upgrades the tech level, while power is used exclusively for research, upgrades and in very small amounts for what the game considers advanced units.

And, I haven't played the game on Win10, but the XBOX One version was great. So I'd say it's worth it.

im annoyed that they didn't set hotkeys up correctly or fix the UI to work better for pc players. but then again being that its 343 and they are so rediculously out of touch with pc players im not suprised....

I didn't try, since I thought the gamepad controls were fine, but somehow I doubt it'd work. (XBOX 360 controllers won't work, so I see very little reason to believe a keyboard and mouse would.)

Some of the bugs in this are starting to make me question my recommendation of it for now... Campaign is probably the best RTS campaign I've ever played (granted it's only like 5 or 6 games) and the MP is a bit dumbed down from the first, but out of sync errors and what appeared to be a 1 FPS for every 5 seconds of gameplay a few minutes ago are really getting annoying.

back in the day me, bro had a xbox 360 he hates using gamepads, so he found online a mod that allows,
a user to use a mouse and keyboard for the xbox 360.

Masters1337 hmm there be bugs, well at lest 343 didn't do halo wars 2,and the Campaign is where I would be going.

as for MP, dose not seem like a thing I would do, because you need xbox gold,
and I just got, around to EB games the day before, you know it has no disk and xbox dose?, and you need to pay like 120$, and download the game I mean come on.

it's starting to seem that win 10, is not worth getting at all, xbox one seems to be.

I refunded Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition because offline mode for Halo Wars Defenitive Edition was severely glitched. I kept reporting it, but, did not get any serious acknowledgement, outside of MS support. I have a feeling the bug will never be fixed, and it was there since the December 20th early access launch. The worst part is that I don't know how wide scale the issue is. About the only other forms of feedback I got was a small number of people reporting the issue as well and upvotes, but, not replies. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if there was some offical confirmation on the matter. MS support does not count, because they are not technically Microsoft themselves (Microsoft outsources its support to other places).

apparently this game also fills the void between Halo 5 and 6 so if your deep into the Halo story, this game is worth every $.

You can't fill a void if only one half of the plot exists. We no nothing about Halo 6's story or plot and the only real substantial link to H5 from HW2 is a sterotypical cryptic end scene wherein a forerunner guardian of some sort interupts a stolen Halo in the middle of a slip space journey.

As a sum total guesstimating around 25 minutes of cinematics for cut scenes e.t.c I'd wager that 343i's efforts to interlink the events which took place on HW2 to H5 lasted around say 20 - 25 seconds.......big whoop.

Halo Wars 2 is not worth $60 infact no game is unless it is proven to consist of double the content of standard price titles. (Think 30 hours of gameplay instead of the generic 15)

That's silly. It's got a standard length campaign, plenty of multiplayer modes. It's worth 60$ if you like RTS games or the first halowars from purely a content time standpoint.

I wanted to try out the demo today.
Then remembered it's only on W10.

Now we all know there's no reason it should be W10 exclusive, so they're just shooting themselves in the foot with such decisions.

Personally, I would of enjoyed Halo Wars 2 if Halo Wars DE was not plagued with the offline mode issue. That one issue nearly soured my whole Halo experience, because I could not play any other Halo game without thinking about Halo Wars DE's issue. If Halo Wars 2 had the issue, I could live with it, but, nope. It had to be one of my most played RTS titles from my school years, which finally came to PC after so long. I'd rather use fan-made mods. At least those work offline...

I would contest this but it's been more than obvious for along time that you willingly play to 343i's tunes.

I prefer to look at things objectively. It's got everything the first game had and more... I fail to see why it's not worth 60$. Unless you feel the first game wasn't either.

Maybe with an excpetion to upgrades for individual units. From what little I played before refunding, most upgrades were universal.
