I tried to compile some scripts through Ahobo and I got this strange error

I tried to save the file as Unicode format and I got this error

Notice the "10.12.17 17:25:42 i expected a script or variable definition.: " thingy

I have at least 560 lines of code and some how removing the following line of code it compiles fine

Can anyone help me find a solution?

Not my area of expertise, but I DO know that the "thingy" is an byte order marker. It's purpose is to specify to anything opening the text file that the file is utf16 little endian.

What you should take away from my explanation, is to not save your hsc files with anything other than ANSI, latin-1, or ascii.

All script files combined must be a maximum total of 262,144 (1 << 18) bytes. Note that kornman's Guerilla multi-line text field will crash if over 8191 characters.

You mean 256 kb right?

All my files are 26 kb, not even close to the limit

I don't have much experience with them, but its fairly safe to assume it has to do with your HUD messages. Have you compiled your hud-messages fully? Are they in the correct directory? Are your HUD messages formatted as unicode?
