Since the dawn of time itself.
I come from the days when IronForge, Grenadiac and Mono were the most well-known names in Halomods community.

Around 2006 I'd say with Halo Trial and simple swaps. My only releases are two or three really bad AI maps I made around 2008-2009.

I've only recently (in the past year) started to learn map making and animation, and I was making some first person elite anims for the SPv3 weapons and then third person pistol marine anims. I only do HCE stuff for a few weeks every few months though so it's slow.

Make a separate topic with your debug.txt.

Delete it and it'll make a new one when you retry your command

I "left" in 2015, then played with a bunch of stuff in my free time for a year or two, so probably 8 or 9 years total.
I think I started playing Halo PC/CE early 2008, and couldn't figure out how to do anything modding or map wise for a good year or so. Figured out how to place AI and made a good amount of AI maps until about 2010 when I joined the forum with "goldkilla88" and just occasionally posted and tweaked with stuff. Didn't really do anything worthwhile until I begged LoneWarrior (Flood Campaign dude) to let me help him in 2012 and kinda befriended him. Started playing with 3ds max and threw some stuff his way and obviously it didn't exactly meet his quality bar lmfao. Started learning the way of rips and did a ton of stuff like that. Built up a bunch of s--t I made for personal intrest or to contribute to projects like Pepzee's firefight stuff. My goldilla88 account got banned at some point because I thought it was cool to be edgy and annoying and get slammed with the hammer. Came back, worked on more stuff, then dumped a bunch of stuff in a mega pack in 2015, and since then, I come back once or twice a year for nostalgia. (or cancer if you look at it that way?)

Sorry for the rant, just trippy to think about when I put it in perspective. Yall are a part of my childhood :'). unfortunately :''')

Started playing Halo PC in 2006 and CE in 2007. Watched mappers and modders come and go but never really created anything myself.

Started playing Halo PC in 2009, never owned an XBox, though the first time I played it was at an intermediate (New Zealands version of Junior High, but only for 2 years) 'fun day' probably back in 2005. Started modding halo PC back in, must have been 2010. Got into Halo CE about 2011, maybe early 2012. Released my first not completely crap map Pillars here actually before I made an account on the forums back in 2013.

I was happy with pillars, but pillars V2 was much better texture wise.

I've been modding for maybe 10 years? As for Halo Custom Edition (versus the retail or Mac version of the game) I started a few years ago.

2006? 2007? a bit before everyone was screaming "DON'T RIP HALO 3 stuffssssss". Had a account or 2 banned, good times. Honestly, I'm surprised this site isn't dead (or shut down by Dennis lol). I come to surf it every few months for nostalgia purposes. =D

The website has only been open for a little over 14 years. While that may be a major part of your guys's lifetime for me it is just an eye blink.

Dude, statistically speaking you'll only see around 6x 14 years in your lifetime, it's not a blink of the eye

It's a figure of speech. Why do you think people say "life is short" all the time?
