I need HELP!!! can someone please tell me how to fix this, it only occurs when I try to export a BSP map file
Error extracting scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_3b.sbsp:

--Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection

You do have all the shared resource maps, correct?

I'm pretty sure you're doing Metropolis from Halo 2. Or whatever. See how in Halo 2 or Halo 3 on that link, there's maps called shared or campaign shared etc?

For Halo 2 you need Shared.map and Single_Player_Shared.map. For Halo 3 it's Shared.map and Campaign.map. Put them in the same directory as the map you're extracting the BSP from. These shared maps contain the bitmaps (textures) of the level your extracting.

If you already have those ignore me not sure why you're having an issue run as an admin.

I did everything you told me to do and I still have the same error issue if you can do me a favor can you try exporting ( scenarios\solo\03a_oldmombasa\earthcity_3b ) in the ( -03b_newmombasa (metroplis) - 148mb ) file and let me know if your having any issues cause this only seems to be a problem in halo 2 every other halo seems to work fine also I use blender as my software to import the obj. file. In (halo adjutant) I Export the BSP. FILE as an obj. file not EMF or AMF, but when I do try to import the error file into blender it only imports the vertices of the object so its very strange.

Oh. I never used it for anything but AMF.

There's no AMF or EMF plugin for blender?

I have the whole AMF2.1 format documented, so I could technically make a blender plugin. But I probably won't for a while.

I had the same problem exporting H2 bsps, since I need the urban architecture as a reference

3DS Max 8, DeadHamster managed to port some New Mombasa bsps to HCE

I didn't use the importers, only the obj format.

I can easily import just about any BSP in 3ds max 2010 using Adjutant 4.20

A lot of the BSPs I used were imported through Entity, but that was due to ignorance of adjutant existing.



I would recommend you use 3DS max for Halo. Other games may be fantastic with whatever program they're fantastic with, but for Halo there's nothing you can do in Blender/Maya/Whatever that cant be done in 3DS, and many things that can only be done in 3DS.

Which versión of 3DS did you used? Did you also used the AMF importers? Cuz old verions of Max don't support those scripts/importers

You think importing the bsp is hard? Wait until you're trying to import it back into Halo... Apart from figuring out what texture goes where, there will be a million red triangle errors and god knows what else.

To the pros doing the tutorials, THIS is the PERFECT area that needs modern coverage. Gotta see that process.

Side note- Can Aether work as an alternative to Adjutant or is it only for CE?
