Quote: --- Original message by: Invader Veex So what's modified? From what I can tell is it desaturation on some of the rubber? If so, excellent move. I can't stand seeing the rubber colored like the armor.
Well, the SP armor has rubber colored as rubber, and thats it. So you should be okay, if its MP armor however... yeah xP
Quote: --- Original message by: grunt_eaterQuote: --- Original message by: MatthewDratt You could ways just re-animate the pelican to crash in a spot maybe down the path of the warthog run. You'd of course have to change up the spot where Echo419 appears, ect but still I think it'd actually be a kinda cool idea to at least react to Echo419's crash I agree. And i always found it stupid that the autumn was sliced in half and connected by such a small bridge anyway :/
It was just a notch in the spine of the ship, not the whole thing. It just looks large because the ship is massive.

Edited by master noob on May 18, 2013 at 03:08 AM
Well, considering every time Lumoria comes up you are one of the first to jump on the hate bandwagon, I don't think its entirely unfounded.
Quote: --- Original message by: master noobQuote: --- Original message by: Bobblehob That being said, the Drones in Lumoria where a bit of a pain. If they had managed to make them as much fun to kill as the ones in Reach it might have worked out a little bit better. except I was using it as an example to which you've agreed to, not hating on it.
Speaking in general terms, don't get all uppity now.
Quote: --- Original message by: master noob drones are anti-fun.
yes, point out the lumoria "hate" even though it's valid and true.
the only variety they add is that for once you sit back while the marines/elites handle them since aiming at their impossibly glitchy hitboxes is the most irritating thing ever.
He has a point, you do take the opportunity to hate on Lumoria when ever you possibly can which gets a bit old. You can point out flaws with out doing it in a manner specifically meant to offend people who put lots of time and effort into something.

Quote: --- Original message by: Masters1337 Pretty much every reason given why they won't work well is valid here. Don't forget, we still have our unused Enforcer and Flood Sentinel tags from SPV2, those are 2 other flying units you will eventually encounter in the second half of campaign. Speaking of the second half, some of us have began pre-production on it, and we hope to have everything planned out for our custom level/s we want to include in it, as well as the new tags and gameplay elements we want in the second half.
In terms of more recent news regarding the first half of campaign
-the B30 island is finally all navigateable! -A30 has its final BSP layouts and encounter plans, with the majority of it scripted and playable -Multiple people are working on getting the mantis working better. It was planned to be in A30 and in A50, but depending on how pacing works in A30, we may remove it all together from that map. A50's Mantis encounter is easily removable, in case we decide getting it fully working is to much work for the first half of campaign. -We now have a rocket hog model. -We have a new and better support weapon system we are looking to try soon.
Do we get an AR weapon evolution video soon I hope?
Quote: --- Original message by: DSalimander I read enough of what Ally said to see he was just repeating himself over and over and drifting way off topic. And the formatting of the post was starting to get FUBAR. Calm down people, call it a loss for me if it helps you sleep at night.
You are a lost cause -__-

When Masterz came back many of the Community Mapping Team members went their separate ways for many different reasons. I can't be responsible for a whole team myself, the amount of work that's expected between map releases (tagset overhauls mainly) is just too much for me. Besides, for some reason people disliked us because of exactly what Masterz is claiming- people think we just did what we did for attention and/or to take advantage of the situation. I was getting sick of it all and I work best alone anyway. And yes, I hold grudges, that's kind of my deal if you haven't caught on yet.
But I would also like to say this- whatever happened in the past is the past. What possibilities were destroyed won't be missed. I'm not afraid to start a fight with Masterz, but on the same token I'll stand up for him when I think he's right. Call it mutual, professional courtesy. Just remember that it's earned, kiddos.
Uggh, the problem is that its a stupid grudge that no one here really cares about, and most people don't want to hear about. Maybe you should go and talk to him privately about it, instead of making a massive issue that the rest of us here have to deal with on a regular basis. Every time it happens it derails the thread its in, and just generally is a pain in the ass. Will you please respect the rest of us and not do it publicly in threads anymore? Or that I don't want to further converse with that dumbass.
Did you not read the most recent arguments that Aly made? They were logical and well thought out. Your response was a single word and the stupid picture. That was why I commented. Edited by Bobblehob on May 9, 2013 at 12:27 AM
Quote: --- Original message by: DSalimanderQuote: --- Original message by: SilentJacket ouch, that does sound a bit undeserved, why not just reform? Better than the amount of hate that has been flooding in as a result Most of CMT who stayed after Masterz quit joined Community Mapping Team. Once Masterz came back and reclaimed his throne of human skulls, what was left of Community Mapping Team just fell apart. I've got no clue where most of the old members are these days. Where is this hate you speak of? Haters show yourselves!
Why did you not change the name and continue making MP maps, instead of harboring this grudge and annoying everyone else with it?
So that is your response to a well thought out argument?
Quote: --- Original message by: DSalimander Says the guy who killed Community Mapping Team.
YEAH, I REMEMBER.
Will you just SHUT UP? Stop trying to derail every single thread! We know you don't like CMT, there is no need to remind us!!
@Blueblaze, I think they mentioned doing a CMT weapon set and an H2 weapon set? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Quote: --- Original message by: master noobQuote: --- Original message by: Masters1337 OS works fine with pirated Halo. explain. this should not be possible.
Because Halo is still Halo? Whether pirated or not.
Aim for this with the H4 MC shaders.
I think part of the issue with the design may be in the animation origins, just comparing the two from the screens posted earlier. I think one other thing is that I feel like the ammo counter should be more distinguishable from the rest of the cowling on the top there, maybe raised up a bit, or something? I dunno.
That being said, the model is impressive, but something still bugs me a little about the FP...
Edit: I think it might also be the background of the video... do you think you could pop a screenshot of it in a level without a grey background? Just for comparisons?
Edit2: And one other idea, it may also be because of the color difference between the cowling around the ammo counter which is the darker color, and lighter color of the area in front of the counter. Just throwing some ideas out there. Edited by Bobblehob on May 4, 2013 at 02:38 AM
Desaturated colors are what these models and textures where originally made for :P and to be honest, they look fairly good that way. The Halo 1 MP armor colors look fine bright because it compliments the pallet of the environment. It was all very bright and colorful.
Halo 4 has a generally darker pallet and less bright colors, so the armor looks better with darker, less saturated colors.
Quote: --- Original message by: master noobQuote: --- Original message by: Dumb AI Desaturated CC map for in-game version please :'( desaturate CC or darken diffuse? desaturating makes it look washed out while darkening darkens the color.
Darken them
Leave the undersuit itself the normal grey color, and make them darker in general.
Who made the choice to go with the lower profile on the ammo display, or is it an effect of the origin change? I noticed that compared to other AR's, this one generally has a lower profile on the top.
Rabbit, the armor is wayyyyyy too shiny, tone down the specular. Look at the H4 ingame shots, how the armor has a fairly matte finish on it. What you have now is just bleh xP
