I think it is in Microsoftís best interest to release some form of editing kit. Doesnít necesairly have to be released right away with the game. In any regard, people will have an interest in reverse engineering the game, so might as well give them what they want.

Hello Everyone,

Over the past 5 years, I have made a lot of stuff for Halo CE. Some of it you have seen (Sector 09, some VKMT stuff, Zulu, so on and so forth), but there is a lot of things I haven't mentioned at all. These things are largely incomplete, but I thought everyone would enjoy the source content.

My goal is, by the end of this year, to release everything on this list. I am busy with school and life right now, so it will be a slow effort to organize everything and release it.

I will release them in any format I have available. If you would like them in a different format (let's say 3DS Max format, or whatever) I will take requests until the end of the year, and attempt to hunt them down.

I will be updating the main post with links to the project as I get them ready for release. Once everything in this list is complete, I will be making a copy of this post over on OpenCarnage.

Anything that you know I made that I forgot to include in this list, let me know, and I will add it to the list.

I will feature every release I do, just like what I am about to do with Coldcoast. For each release, I will try to do the following:
-Provide a few pictures
-What you are able to currently do with the project in its current state
-What my intentions were with the project.
-A link to download it, as well as update this main post.

So, let's start it off with Operation Coldcoast.

Remember when I posted this preview picture?

This is Operation Coldcoast. You basically deploy in a pelican, listen to my really crappy WIP dialog, and fight your way up to the operations center. When you kill the last encounter at the Operations Post, and nothing happens, don't worry. You aren't going crazy. I never finished past this point. However, you can drive around and probably spawn some encounters randomly.

My goal with this map was to have a free-roam aspect, where you have to take down three covenant arrays, and explore the map to find them, which would spawn random encounters.

But anyways, give it a shot, and feel free to rip the BSP and do your own thing with it.

Ah, right, forgot to mention... it's single player... so play it by typing
map_name op_cdcst
in halo.

Here's a preview of the new city. Everything is coming together slowly but surely. I have portioned the project out to close, trusted friends to increase development speeds + quality.

I hope to have something playable for the community during the summer... around August?

Hello Halo CE Community,
I know you were probably expecting a really cool "GTA" mod for Halo CE, and we want to deliver on that.
However, we have recently done a couple of thorough play tests and decided that the mod is not ready to be released as quickly as anticipated. We want to take some time and really polish the mod, and perhaps remake some aspects of the mod.
I deeply apologize for showing this off before it was ready. I feel terrible revealing all of these details, and then not delivering them as soon as we are anticipating.
To make up for this, we are going to deliver a high quality GTA Halo mod in the future that is extremely fun to play. Most of the features we announced will still be there.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you guys are looking forward to what we are making.

Sounds to me that you have never made any sort of halo map in your life, Pabeung.

Looks like he took this tagset and cleaned it visually & balanced for multiplayer use... sounds like some tedious guerilla work that I donít want to do.

Iím also sure itís in one directory... do you know how hard it is to move a bunch of tags & references into one directory???

Iím going to download it and give it a shot when it comes out. Good work man.

The client uses chimera to control the fp hand switching. I figured this was the best approach to take. I am aware of the ability to link the script to the .map itself, but the purpose of this project was to set it up & open source it for the community to use.

Very simple project that I made today.

Red team plays as spartans, blue team plays as elites.











All the files are included. Chimera has been tested with the version in the .zip, 560, and 572(unstable release).

Wanna make your own team bipeds?



bSwitch.lua, scroll until you find:

BIPEDS = {
[0] = "bourrin\\halo reach\\spartan\\male\\mp masterchief",
[1] = "cmt\\characters\\elite_v2\\player\\elite_v2_mp",
}


Simply change the directories to the models. [0] = red team, [1] = blue team. Make sure to reference both of your team's bipeds in guerilla's reference section.



hvc.lua (you will obviously need to rename this .lua file to your map name), scroll until you find:

--redTeamHands = "halo reach\\objects\\characters\\spartans\\fp\\fp" --DEFAULTED to currently set hands in globals. 
blueTeamHands = "cmt\\characters\\elite_v2\\fp\\minor" --Set the hands you want for blue team here.


Change the blue team hands to the directory of where your blue team hands are located. The script will automatically pull the tag from the red team's hands. You also need to reference these fp hands in the guerilla reference section.

Hello Community,
Today I'd like to share with you an RP map that I've been developing since Late 2015. If you haven't read the title, then the name of this map is RPG_Zulu_Final (you might have seen it as rzf_beta_32 floating in the server browser). I'll start with some pictures of the map:

Even though you might not like role playing, this map is still a lot of fun to grab a warthog and explore. There are a few final touches that I am going to make to the buildings before I release the final version. My goal is to see what people think about this map, and if there is any feedback that can improve the final version. The tagset is going to be reworked to a bigass tagset. (Thanks altis).

On final release, all of the tags used to make this map (including the bsp files, .scenario, and an empty .scenario) and the 3ds max source files will be released with the map file.
Description: An RP map set on an icy island with very hostile weather patterns.

Map Details:
The map has the following key locations:
-An extensive underground base
-Village
-FOB
-Relay Station (highest base on the map)
-Crashed Prowler
-Several other outposts / foliage to seek cover in.

Gametypes:
Only supported for slayer. This map is not designed for any sort of player vs player, so keep this in mind if you want to host a server on it. As of right now, it is designed specifically for exploration / RP.

Commands:
object_create_anew_containing "" - spawns all vehicles. Will not work on the server.

Server commands:
/character elite - changes your character to an elite. (WIP)
/character marine - changes your character to a marine. (WIP)
/character spartan - changes your character to a spartan.
Server IP: 173.0.146.108:2520
