So I am renting a dedicated server that I am hosting for the community. Strictly Custom Content. My issue is I am having no luck with auto-server-messages. EX: Welcome to my server: visit us at halostarwars.com
I thought it would be as simple as adding sv_say "Welcome to my server: visit us at halostarwars.com" to my .init file but unfortunately this doesn't appear to be working. The research I did I'm beginning to believe this can only be achieved through SAPP. Unfortunately I am using a OS_Dedi and SAPP isn't compatible. Are there any other ways I can achieve this?

I rent a 16 slot dedicated server for my StarWars beta tests. When those are not going on, I'm trying to keep a solid custom map server running for the community. I don't think I have played this map but if you say its fun I'll host it on the server.

I am trying to attach a rocket explosion when a vehicle impacts upon anything. I thought this would be as simple as editing the material effects at the bottom of the vehicle tags but unfortunately I'm not having any luck there. Any ideas what I'm overlooking?

I have a script I'm interested in...

Say you have a vehicle that is a Jet. After being shot down, the jet explodes and the player piloting the jet spawns into a another vehicle that is a parachute. Possible?

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything helpful within the Banshee tags,

I do have a few more sound questions.

1. I have a hatch to my vehicle that opens when you press the flashlight key. It plays a sound when it closes (default position) however nothing plays when it opens. Its powered by a Sound Looping Function.

2. I would like to hear a sound effect when you turn the turrets any direction. I would like to hear some kind of motor from the turret. Is this possible? I have tried attaching a sound to the animation but I had no luck.

Hoping someone could help me figure out how to attach sound effects to a vehicles velocity action. Saying one of my xwings does a sharp 180 degree u-turn, I would love to hear the roar of some thrusters or something similar at this moment. But these sounds would only happen while that action is performed. Is this possible? I think the answer is somewhere in the velocity portions of an effects tag. Any audio experts out there know if this is possible?

I am also reaching out to any sound experts interested in helping a starwars mapping team. Just throwing that out there.....

I have been trying to tweak how much damage a player receives when they are inside of a vehicle. Specifically when they are inside of my Millennium Falcon. I have tried adjusting the impact damage .damage_effect file within the weapon tags but I'm not seeing any changes. Any ideas?

I have toyed with several speeds. Right now the stardestroyers are seperated just over 6 km. It takes each vehicle about 40 seconds to fly from one to the other. Thats pretty fast, and you have to take into account if they are too fast they are impossible to track and follow leaving dogfights almost impossible to engage.

That is absurd. Mostly everything you see here is my work. All of it custom from the ground up. I have close to 300 custom textures. Thousands of hours of devoted time in creation. Now its true they may look amateur and your right they definitely are. But damnit, its my work, my pride, my baby. You can take pride in a thing like that and other people will appreciate it as well. Now because these textures don't look like they came from a professional 20 year experience graphical designer from over at lucasarts you expect me to just trash them and steal their content? I have more respect for myself than that and you should respect other people that work hard on their art instead of just criticising it over a couple of images and grainy Youtube clips you have viewed and quickly label it as Ass.
