ok i see now. i was deleteing the unused slots.thank you so much this anwers every issue i've had for the last 5 months. all of my projects should be fully back on track now and might finaly get my big one completed and relesed. thanks

is it normal for my map to crash if i put 5 vehicals in globals, but not crash when i put 6 vehicals in globals. its never done this before when i used less vehicals.

ok i get it now. for the most part they dont seem to bad, but i think ive seen some good ones before i`ll check tonight when i play halo. i`ll update tonight at 11:00. untill then halo reach calls.

edit: i didnt see any really good ones, but really they dont look that bad especially the one on infinity future weapon mod. u dont really need anything to special.

your to picky these 3ds were great. my last sugestion is Infinity Futur Weapon Mod.
it has a redesigned version. you could change the projectile. if this doesnt do it i have no more ideas

alot of maps have them. good place to start would be extinction. i think it had a good one. if it doesint have one then i know for certian the great battle of aris v2 had one with explsive projectile

this sounds probable but unlikely work perfectly.


i considered this because my new tags overwrote a mess load of files.

it just dawned on that one of the new weapons doesn't work, it probably had a bad file and overwrote an important file like you said. i will look into this.

but that being said why isn't it affecting any of my other maps.

edit: i reinstalled hek. it didn't work. same problem. same debug. backups giving the issue as well. i would consider rextracting the orignal and overwrite files, but last time i did that with anouther map it ruined all my files and i had to start from scratch. most of my old files still don't work.


edit: I DID IT! the level is working again, but with limited success. globals is being retarded. i used a global from a older version, but it wont let me modify it in any way which is bad because i need to change the vehicals. if you know how to fix please let me know.

p.s. it is rejecting new globals as well.

it has said this before but never caused a problem. i will look into this.

edit: well its been a good run but i think this maps about had it. i might just restart. it was a mess anyways, this could be a good thing, i now know were i want things to go and i don't have to worry about my old screwups(this be my first work, it also includes learning screwups ). now that i know all i need to know about sapien this might take a week or 2 to remake.

p.s. when i am done with this map i will release more maps. i might be gone for a week before i start working again.

no i haven't reinstalled since my major f*** up 2 months. and by old debug, i meant the one i took out before i made a fresh one. i have all the old tags somewhere in this mess of a computer,and they all still work. but theres no hope of re adding them because the map is full of new tags that i replaced them with ages ago. the last thing i did before the map stopped working was add new weapons to my tags folder, all of the new tags work on my other levels, and this level stopped working before i added the weapons. i made changes to the map trying to fix it and got some new debug lists.

this has never caused a problem before and it was there when i started.

checking tags now, will update when i am done.

update: its not the tags. i made a backup an deleted all tags(vehicles, weapons, ai, everything but spawn points.) and compressed a blank map with the same global i used on another map that worked. and the map still crashed.

this is the entire debug. like i said i removed the old one. then started halo to get the new one. but i will check the tags again. but everything i put in the map has worked before in this map or another map. however the old debug said something about needing the old tags and sky that were originally in the map before it said "game failed to load" but this has never affected the map before.

my map has stopped working again for the thousandth time. but instead of screwing around for half and hour until its fixed(as i usually do). i cant figure it out this time and i've been trying all day and still no progress. its almost done and i don't want to start over because i've spent months getting this far. here is the debug. i spent ten minutes stareing at it and i can't get any thing out of it. this is a fresh debug, i removed the old one before getting this.

well then ai is a failure in this map. i still need help with starting equipment


what about scripting

what of the halo 3 style weapons where can i find those. the only one I have is the sniper
and I still don't know how to setup starting weapons
