Well as I've already said, I don't even play Halo nor do I really like it to be honest with you all. (I'm more of a HL2 player myself.)

But you're always welcome to snatch my work and compile it for Halo, just remember to credit me for my work, then I'm happy. As long as you keep it away from those Facepunch idiots of course.

Scrap the texture edits, I've got a whole new texture already which is a lot better!

(Don't mind the skull, I've actually removed it, I just didn't bother to take a new screenshot.)

The origin looks solid, tho it's a little 'up in your face' or is that just me?
I must confess, I'm not a big Halo fan so I wouldn't know if that's just how the camera is in-game.

Keep up the work, I can't wait to see it done! :)
PS: If anyone is interested, then I can reveal that it'll soon be available for HL2 too.

Edit:// About the whole "Too many poly's" discussion that's going on;
1st. of all, poly's means nothing in game-art. It's all about the triangles.

2nd. If it was 6000 triangles, then it would be decent for a 'current-gen' weapon, tho for older games like Halo 1, 6k might be a little much. Eitherway, for newer games, say CoD or BF, 6k isn't a problem.

Newer game engines can render up to 2 million triangles at a time on screen. With that in mind, optimizing your work is still a good idea tho. The more you can have on screen = awesomesauce.

Hi Geared,

You've got some decent models, yeah, now you just need to learn to unwrap them and texture them.
besides that I can't really say anything seeing as I don't know the triangle count and the like.

These are about 2 month old origins retouched by me (mostly the fingers). This launcher is ironically the same shotgun grenade launcher from Black Ops. The launcher is also terribly out of proportion, the grip is unusable because it's so badly misshapen.

I'm Kevin "Kosai106" Østerkilde, and I modeled and textured that weapon.
I just found out about this post via a quick Google search and I figured I'd reply to it.

First of all, sorry for replying to an old post, in case that bothers anyone on this board.
Second, I'd like to note that the weapon isn't out of proportion at all, it's modeled in the correct dimensions to it's real world counterpart.

Also, if you ever got this in-game, then I'd love to see a video of it in action! :)
