Serious question: What's the appeal of rollplaying in a game with terrible netcode, no voice chat, no scrollable chats, limited server-side modifications (factions are red and blue, no other options, no 2 teams in same vehicle) and a 16 person game limit?
Why wouldn't you go to something like Gmod if RP is your thing?
Sel put my name in the map please
Ow my eyes, what's with the filter?
I think it was filmed in H2, though it could have been H1 (H3 was a distant speck on the horizon at the time). It was a kind of map montage where the player played through the maps getting points until he finally won the game with 25 kills to zero deaths. It had really badass transitions that were so well done you couldn't even tell the map had changed until you blinked and realised things weren't the same.
I'm sure a few of your oldschool members will know the one I'm talking about. I think it came out some time in 2007?
Any help (names, authors, engine, etc) would be appreciated.
UPDATE:
Found what I was looking for (thanks to phobias at H2V).

I'm more well known than CMT.
I remember when I couldn't model for shi- wait.
:(
in this thread: people who pirate 3ds max act like they have money.
you can achive great results from gmax if you sit down and learn it. the only way it was stripped in relation to 3ds5 was they took out the rendering capability. other than that it's 3ds 5.

that's what I said :|
if that's where he is, then don't use computers, get a portal underneath the WC tube and get the missile turret to destroy that to get a cube :D
slack for clogging up C. though I'm a tad cautious weather this is virus.exe..
E: well zone alarm has decided that I'm not going there. sorry. Edited by n00b1n8R on Jan 9, 2008 at 01:50 AM
stop nocking it guys, if this guy is making it all himself, that's pretty cool.
the only problem with a BF2 map in CE would be the 16 player limit.
best new map: Valkryie
best mod: Talon IV by the metroid team (snowgrove came third to Dissolusion V2 for me).
best SP map: they had SP maps?
For christ sake, be patient.

It doesnt sync, so what? Ai doesnt sync yet there are almost always(or there was used to be) servers running the floods and grunt attack.
because why would you put buggy pseudo duel weilding in when you have a perfectly good weapon set allready available?

just because you stole my boyfriend doesn't mean you have to parade it :(
well CMT came out with a heap of stuff earlier in the year, then metroid came along with their conversion (though you have to deduct points for using a derelict mod). H3T started off fail, got better then turned into a shambles where nobody seems to know what's going on. there were a few other teams, but I didn't see them releasing much content.
All in all, I'm going to go with metroid because of the origional (to CE) content.
E: zteam was in there too, but most of their stuff was ripped. Edited by n00b1n8R on Dec 27, 2007 at 05:09 AM
I don't mean mods as in custom maps, I mean total changes to gameplay.
HL2:DM on it's own isn't anything special tbqh. it's the mods that make it awesome.
