Halo CE Technical / Map Design » Join games greyed out Jan 28, 2011 03:09 PM (Total replies: 4)

He didn't have devmode on, we figgured out that he had installed from a shared folder on my PC. When he copied the installer to his HDD and reinstalled it, he has the options available.

Edit, Jan 29:

I must apologize. He DID have dev mode on, but didn't tell me. So when he reinstalled the game, it worked, of course, so I suppose when he enabled dev mode, the multiplayer options went away and he figgured out what had happened.

Halo CE Technical / Map Design » Join games greyed out Jan 28, 2011 12:40 AM (Total replies: 4)

Me and my kid both got Halo CE, installed them to our machines using our own keys. He can only start a LAN game (or SP with the custom UI). His options for or joining LAN or internet games are not available. They are there, just grayed out and not selectable. I cannot see his LAN games, and when I try to join with direct IP, it says server is full. He has more than one max players.

We have an "ad hock" network using Ethernet adapters connected together (properly, we can play other LAN games just fine, and he can connect to the internet thru my PC). There is no firewall or router between our PC's.

Anyone know why his options to join games is not available?

I searched for this in the FAQ and forum search and could find nothing.

I am not trying to be a hard ass here but the very simple fact is that your right to free speech ends at the login. You have no rights here, in this forum, that are covered in the US constitution. ........

Too true. Usually, the people that whine about free speech have not read the words in the Constitution that say, "Congress shall make no law.....", doesn't say anything about private citizens.
