Woops I thought u meant two at a time (dual wield), I used to use an AR and flamer, but now my combo is AR and BR.

I did that before I even opened sapien. That was in the tut.

Look at the tutorial, it's very thorough, and I followed it step-by-step. I named it +sky.

Ok this is wierd, I went back into gmax loaded up my model, dragged the color sphere thing to the box, and the sky turned blue.

EDIT: Ok with this I did all the tut as far up as sapien (again), with parts i thought needed done, and my level is lit up... however, now I can't see my map.

EDIT: I restarted the whole process starting with the gmax modeling etc, but now when i try to load up the mitmaps in guerilla, it says that i need to set me Halo CE directory. My computer is now officially crappy.

Yes, i named it +sky, but running radiosity makes the level light up? (I'm new to mapmaking)

I did everything in the tutorial up to the point where I get into sapien and instead of my lighted map I get this:

UVW'ing the map made the actual colors appear (the colors from the map which i selected appeared on the ground), but thats not the problem, the sky color isnt in the right place (the walls are grey, not blue), and its dark and impossible to see in sapien

Yes, I didn't get that far because I couldn't see anything, and yes.

Tarzan I'm not sure what you're talking about, i did UVW it and reconvert into editable mesh and it didn't help.

Whenever I try to make a map (this is my first one), I make it ok until i get to coloring the map. I'm using this tutorial to help:

and whenever I get to the coloring, I make the ground color (rip it from 'tutorial' like the tutorial said), and make a blue sky (labeled '+sky'), but when I drag the color to the box, the ground goes from green to white, and the walls do too- when they should have turned blue-, and when I try to go into sapien, the whole map is black, and i followed the tutorial step by step, with the lighting of the map.

For those of you who already saw this question in another post 'Help' I'm sorry but i have to get to the bottom of this. Recently I downloaded 'Blizzard_in_Hugeass', and, like apocolypsehugeass and hugesnap, it canceled out hugeass (the original), making it unable to be played ingame. Usually I just delete the map file to play hugeass again, but this one was tricky. I deleted it like usual (made sure it wasn't in map folder), except this time it was still in Halo CE (I could still play it). Afterwards I couldn't download ANY new levels (I couldn't play them-even though they were in the map folder ). I found a solution- make a backup folder with all my CE maps (no I didn't know there was an option to keep my maps) and I uninstalled CE. When I reinstalled it however, I was- and am still- unable to play ANY CE maps, even if i make sure they are in the map folder.

I realize I have made multiple posts on this subject and I apologize but I have no idea whats going on or what to do.

NEVER MIND THIS PEOPLE, i found the solution, if you get this problem through the same dumb mistake i made, send me a message or whatever.

What do you mean extract? I double click on the internet thing and click save then it saves to map file. But i tried the solution presented earlier and IT DIDN'T WORK. Now I'm stumped, i still have the same maps as regular halo pc and no more than that. HELP

The guns look really good, but the chaingun looks like u took it off the top of a warthog, with that are you going to do something like that for plasma, like the turret of the spectre? Good job anyway.

No I'm not using windows 95 OR 98 I'm using windows XP (more recent). I guess my files are corrupted from when i uninstalled CE. I'll take ur advice and try redownloading the levels.

If it resets its regular dual core position thats normal. I have to reset it EVERY TIME, but now i cant cuz im having difficulties (see my latest post 'HELP'), so i cant test it out to help u or anything like that sorry.

I think i had this problem happen to me, do you have dual core? if u do, when u open up sapien, press control alt delete, go to processes, find 'Sapien.exe', right click on it, go to 'Set affinity', and turn off one of the checked boxes (cores).

If this isn't the problam just forget it.
