no offense intended, Dennis. I guess they are right, Highground on halo 3 is similar to a lot of other maps that are symmetrical. Only thought of it because I play it so much while I wait for Yoyorast v2 to come out. DaddyO
looks like high ground...
Hey Bobby. I had this problem, and it was my wireless router lagging. Run an ethernet cable directly from your router to your computer. Then disable your wireless connection and enable your ethernet connection. There is no other answer, like Dennis said (he's always right), run a cable. You'll be thrilled with your in-game performance as an added bonus, wireless router causes about 0.5 second lag in some cases. Peace, DaddyO

Kiwi, you're a cool dude.
Hey Picard (should I call you Captain, Picard, Captain Picard, or something else?
Anyway, I digress.
I am not on regularly enough to be a helpful member of your (or any other) clan. I am one of the "older" CE players and between work and home life I can never tell when I am going to be able to play. I have been in several clans and they never seem to work out because I am not around regularly to contribute. So now, when you see me on CE and/or xfire, I am OMC DaddyO because I am a "one man clan". (By the way, I share my PC so sometimes it's not me who is on line on xfire). That said, I visit your server when I can, but it is often empty when I intend to play. Plus, I prefer to play Yoyorast Island if/when possible (version 2 coming soon). I do appreciate how well-tended your server is though, having an admin who is patient and mature is a breath of fresh air. and the maps are fine with me, none are"bad" in my opinion. All rockets sometimes has it's allure...apparently kiwi doesn't like to lose, although it happens to the best of us.
I'll see you soon, DaddyO
Hey Picard. We are friends from your "previous" clan.
I think you are mistaken in your opinion of Yoyorst island, take a little time to learn the map, it has outstanding gameplay, but don't just take my opinion, look at how many people have played it and still do every single night.
I will dl your map list and play some time this weekend, so maybe I'll see you there. Your previous ones were good but didn't have enough players for me to stay.

I hate to admit this...Halo Arena was my first dl

Man, all this discussion about making maps, I'm gonna learn how to make maps. Where do I start...let's see...maybe I should ask for help?
My 360 died about a year ago, stopped putting out video. No red lights, nothing. Microsoft sent ma a box and I shipped it back, and they replaced it with a new console. No probs so far, no overheating (but I don't pile junk on or around it). My projector puts out a lot of heat, but for the screen size it's worth it. I have an 8' x 10' screen and it's crystal clear, you should see Halo 3 on that! I finished campaign on normal in about 8 hours, but need to go back and look for easter eggs, shortcuts and other things I ran by. All 3 Halo games were works of art for the available technology at the time each was made. Halo 3 lived up to the hype though, in my opinion. CE is still my regular choice though, as it is where all my friends play, and because I prefer the PC controls, and for map choices.

I have played many on PC (I can't remember them all): Star Wars Battlefront II Halo Halo CE (most often, like every day) Halflife Starcraft series (great game) Command & Conquer series Homeworld series (another great game)
XBOX 360: Forza 2 Halo & halo 2 (Halo 3 in a few days) Gears of War

I kinda like the Hog's limitless ammo supply and bottomless fuel tank. Hate how it disappears if left unattended though.
Speaking from experience (I was a US Marine for 6 years) The hummer was an awesome package when it arrived, and with the MK 19 40mm chain-fed grenade-firing machine gun on the ring-mounted turret, very close to the fire-power as the rocket hog. MANY real-world weaknesses though. The problem is that our enemies now sneak around setting mines and etc and can kick back in their tents and listen to our guys getting blown up from afar.
The first photo above looks a LOT like a hog! "Lemme drive!"

1. Yoyorast island 2. Bloodgilch 3. cmt snowgrove
my personal faves
I'm sure Yoyorast V2 will be on top when it comes out (soon I hope)

I've been playing halo CE for a couple of years now, but still suffer from lag and tend to play poorly because of it. I have DSL, using a DSL modem, then to a router which then routes to 2 PCs and an XBOX, all by hardwire. On my PC there is nothing else running except the game. Any suggestions to reduce my lag during online gameplay?
I'm pretty wound up and ready to play it. Can't get enough Yoyorast Island!
