Kirby 422 gave a quick 4 or 5 line tut on how to do this in another thread, but I was wondering if he, or someone else, could explain it in a little more detail for me? He posted this pic:
I would like to make my AR, Shotgun, and Sniper Rifle look like that, I have all multipurpose maps available and such, I just need help with what needs to be done with them to gain the above effect.
I should probably mention ahead of time that the multipurpose maps I have were originally made by TAZZ for his Halo 3 Weapon pack. I did not make them, nor am I trying to take credit for them. I'm using them because they are the best I've seen, period.
Any help is greatly appreciated! ^_^
Thank you! I'm going to go try it now :D
This is how everone should request help, poly counts, detailed pictures, you get my respect for that alone =] Also, I hear what you mean about the middle region, is seems like it needs something but I can't quite put my finger on it... I'll get back to you o_o
Oh and a picture from the ingame player perspective would be nice. Just to maybe show the scale of this map =]

I was wondering if somebody could please tell me how to edit Halo CE's sun. What I mean by this is the following:
Ray length (like when you look at the sun through a tree) I want to make these longer and the sun pretty much more "intense" in general.
The possibility of editing the sun in existing map files would be ideal. Seeing as I only want to edit this for use in a map of my own until I get the right effect. Then who knows, I might release my Fable inspired map to the public >_>
Thank you for any help.

Thanks for the help guys but all I really wanted was a tool or tut on how to modify the size/intensity of the sun. For instance a tool that lets you open an existing map and edit the sun size, brightness, light intensity. But thanks for the suggestions.
Thank you Dennis that was a great help.
I know what the forums are for-_- I clearly stated in the first post that I wanted to edit bloom and shader effects in Halo PC AND CE. In nub terms bloom= sunshine glowy effects.
Can someone please tell me how to edit Halo PC and CE's bloom effects, to make it more intense, bigger, ect. I would also like to be able to edit Halo PC and CE's shaders in general, but Bloom is my top priority. Thanks, any help is appreciated.
seriously, nubs, gotta love em
No smartass, it's a robot that was made by a person with parkinsons disease(me) I know I'm not good at it. So cut me some slack:) It still needs arms, stomach, waist, legs and some other dodads.

Help! I have to spend about a week from home and my desktop pc, i'm stuck with my laptop. I was going to post pics of my first map but when i press [prt sc] and go into paint end hit edit the paste button is nulled. I have been trying all morning, please help.
I feel your pain I'm using HP laptop with ATI Radeon 1150 chipset 64mb. Don't get me wrong, it works good but it could be better... But i don't let that get me down, in my desktop PC I have dual 8800GTS running SLI enabled, 2.5 gig system RAM(kinda pointless but doesn't hurt to have extra). It literally EATS Crysis. (AKA, actually awesome)
