Is it possible to make animated characters with G-Max using Master Chiefs animations? I looked for a G-max version of a program that exports skins or some thing like that an had no luck. Kinda lost on what i need for character exporting.
You can import the wrl and set the color on G-max to bright green and hit F3 and you can find all the edges. I prefer white instead of green sense every thing is dark gray. You can also do the same thing for face errors. Make sure every thing is unselected and set the color to what you want then import the error wrl thingy.
I got it under control, but every time i fix the errors my mind gives me a guilt trip and will say "ADD MORE LAZY it don't look good enough" i add more then get more errors. I,am done adding now(i Dink) i just have to fix the last few errors(I hope those are the last ones).

Lay Out of Map - Wait just a little LONGER it is my first map
Three Bases, one is neutral.(OOO it is under ground!!)
First base has a tower.(It is a bit thick)
Second base has a cool little building for getting flagers.(Great defense)
Third base has an exit at the top of a mountain.(I wish i had a elevator )
(New) It will be a bit empty because i want to make the factory machines, consoles, decals and all of that separate. I can use those same items on future maps an increase there speed of creation. I will put the beta on here and file front cause that is my original place where i started.
Yay for file front and halo maps. Edited by TheTyrant on Apr 20, 2009 at 03:29 PM
Oh ok so there commands that tell Objects, monsters and doors to move and do stuff or buttons / levers that open doors?
Quote: --- Original message by: Gamma927Quote: --- Original message by: TheTyrantSorry for the confusion but i some times call "Lines of Code" scripts, cause they are the same thing just about. Code & Scripts set, load and make stuff work. Code is for the stuff in the back ground like in game options, internet stuff, physics, particle system, defaults. So next time if you catch me say scripts and we are on topic about code, you will know why i said that. BTW i use figurative of speech a lot. So nobody knows how to crack open the code for the xbox version & re-write it? Lines of code =/= scripts. Scripts "script" game events. The lines of code determine the engine that the game runs on. You were right when you said the code determines game options, internet stuff, physics, particle systems, and stuff. However, scripts do none of that. The only thing scripts do are cause ingame events, such as cause AI to be placed in a SP map. An easier way to think of this, is to consider scripts as pre-written lists of devmode commands, because that's what they really are. Even figurative language doesn't link the two.
I know that but scripts, they can adjust those things(not make them) and are for other things as well like game play A.I for SP etc(I think or is A.I part of the engine??).
It is for modding? Well that sucks if so .

Well that is dumb, why? (New) Don't they have CO-OP on Xbox for halo 1, if they do can't some one hack the scripts off of it so they can use them for halo on PC. (Re-edit them a bit maybe?) Edited by TheTyrant on Apr 18, 2009 at 09:05 PMEdited by TheTyrant on Apr 18, 2009 at 09:07 PM Scripts cannot be "hacked off of". They are lines of code that "script" certain events to occur. AI syncing is something that the engine itself handles, and you can't change this with just scripts. And isn't Co-op for Xbox just split screen?

I will post screen shots like i said i would, but i,am still having trouble with it . It is all most done just small errors love to pop up every time i run structure command. The loading time with exporting is what kills me.

It is a factory with snow & stuff, gonna make objects separate besides bases.
They did it for doom 3 "The LMS MOD" or Last Man Standing
(new) It was online with A.I vs a team of players. Edited by TheTyrant on Apr 17, 2009 at 11:56 PM
Well i can't wait til it is done and i get to upload it on here and play with some guys over the net with it. Its not the best graphical mod but it is kinda new-ish with lots of team game play.
Quote: --- Original message by: MF BoomQuote: --- Original message by: HogdriverOneFiveFive That could be a triangle error, or something to do with pollies, im not sure, check for red colored error ones. If it was a triangle error, it wouldn't be a "Couldn't update edge" error. Quote: --- Original message by: HCEzombie69 I think it is because you did not have a sealed environment. Try to see if you have any open edges or intersecting planes. If not, IDK. And, if it were an open edge, it would say "Open edge", not "couldn't update edge". Different errors. Quote: --- Original message by: chrisk123999 Import the .wrl and look for the lines. Recreating the faces around it usually fix it. Best suggestion. Once importing the .wrl file, you'll find a colored edge somewhere in your map. Select that edge, and move it; you'll see there are /two/ edges in one spot. You somehow got a collapsed face that only exists on an X axis; not a Y nor Z axis... Meaning, it's basically just a line. Delete both edges that are in that spot, and recreate them appropriately, so that only one edge will exist this time. I get that error a lot, and eventually you'll get used to fixing those. They're relatively simple once you know what you're looking for.
LMAO no wonder i couldn't find it, it is a line an i was looking for some thing big lol, thanks. Edited by TheTyrant on Apr 11, 2009 at 05:31 PM
I every time i make a dang base with interiors i get the "### ERROR couldn't update edge #number (Red)" the level is a really simple level with a really simple base and i don't know why it is doing this i thought that maybe some thing was open or some thing but i guess not. Should i use chimp instead of TheGhosts exporter?
I get about a list of more then 50 of these horrible things.
Well at least we know it is possible. Can you use like a console command while playing that level and run a script finder or some thing. What about the halo 1 SP remake with the halo 2 stuff could you find the scripts off that?
Right before the "MAW" mission you have to go up an elevator and then you get the warhog to do the stun end mission. You could open up that single player level's scripts and try to find that elevator's scripts or what not and modify it for MP i think that would work, i did some thing like that on another game but i don't remember what game it was i think it was Soldier of Fortune.
Ok, thanks for the info. I will post a picture of the map on this topic when i,am done.
lol i should have been more detailed sorry. What i meant was, when i go to make a base should i make separate then add it on to the level or extrude from the levels mesh to make the base.
Should i make a base from the level its self or should i make it separate from the level and then add it on or does it not matter?
Oh ok thanks, that slipped my eyes lol.
I,am new here as you can see and i have a little problem. How can i find open areas(Red) in G-max, is there a tool i can use to run on the raw map and it find open areas(red), because i looked for opened mesh that was not connected and could not find any and i know it is some where on my base structure but it is still very hard to find. What i mean by "red" areas is that when i go to structure the level i get three errors each have there own number and say this next to the number "Is Open (Red)" please help thanks.
