FlyCam exceptions v1.08 though.

What, so it won't work post-update?

And where is the 'root directory'?

I've installed maps before, but which folder does this sirt if content go into?

And once I install it, how do I use it?

Thanks again guys, you've been very helpful

The game graphics are a bit bad but for the most part it is okay.
I have a chipset graphics card, so it is irreplaceable :/

Okay, I got it. I got this "access denied!" message each time, but yet again running as administrator prevailed. I ran WinRAR as admin and it worked then.
Thanks anyway though.

Okay, I ran Halo as Admin and got the patches that way. Twas rather easy. This game'll be fun...

Okay, where do I put the downloaded patches (I've already DLed them)?
They emerged in WinRAR, but do I put them in the client folder or where?

Quote: If you want to play the maps, you need Halo Custom Edition. put the maps in C:\program files\microsoft games\halo custom edition\maps once it is installed. If you want to make the maps, you need HEK.

Ah, that's good. I've got 2 minutes remaining on the Custom Edition DL. Oh, 1 minute now.
I heard something about patches I also need to DL to get the online to work. I got told this by the game when I tried to get into a game. Where do I get them?

As is the way, I'm not going to be surprised if the editing kit, game, servers and everything about Halo 1 doesn't work for me.
I just took me USB mouse off the top of my microwave where it's been sat for the past few months because I haven't been using it, only to realise that it was partially melted to the microwave by the radiation from it :/
Has anyone else here ever had a really bad experience with all this?

Good start. Oh well, it's a laptop...

which of the following do I need:

- Halo Custom Edition
- HEK, the editor kit
- A special place to put the maps (and if so, where?)

Thanks guys, this maps things seems a bit complicated...

I have Vista btw, but the game works fine.

When I try to connect to the internet through Halo Combat Evolved, this is the message that I get. I'm using Vista, but am aware that it works perfectly with the OS as it does with XP.
I'm also the admin of my computer, so I don't know what's with this message.

Can I get some help?
