Halo CE Technical / Map Design » Problem with guerilla or gmax Jul 17, 2009 06:01 PM (Total replies: 5)

hey, this is my first post, but i've never been able to make a map correctly. ever.

from what i know, i've narrowed the problem to this:

building collision geometry...
### ERROR edge #0 is open (red).
### ERROR edge #2 is open (red).
### ERROR edge #5635 is open (red).
### ERROR failed to build collision geometry.
### ERROR failed to inport collision bsp.

after i make a shader environment in guerilla and use

tool structure levels\*mapname* *mapname*

in the command prompt. everything else seems to be fine. it exported correctly...

----------------------------------------
Chimp: Start...
----------------------------------------
Parsing Materials
Material 1: +sky
Material 2: beavercreek boulder
Material 3: blood cliff rock
Parsing Geometry
Processing Object 'skybox' (F:3840 V:1922)
Verts: 11520
Faces: 3840
***** Begin Jms *****

and i still am not sure what this command is for, but it worked correctly

tool bitmaps levels\*mapname*\bitmaps

and the result was with no errors...

Couldn't read map file ' ./toolbeta.map
### beavercreek boulder.tif
bitmap created: #256x#256, compressed with color-key transparancy, 42K-bytes
### blood cliff rock.tif
bitmap created: #256x#512, compressed with color-key transparency, 85K-bytes

so i have no idea what's going wrong. any suggestions/help is taken openly and greatly appreciated. if you need any more info, i'll try to keep everything available.
