Opposite, you have too many within the same line of sight. Personally i try to make sure that i dont have more than 3 portals within a single line of sight because the furthest one will more often than not be culled when you dont want it to. Keep portals simple, and let the exact portals do the heavy work

The .s3dpak files are what contain all of the Saber 3D engine "anniversary" assets. This includes both the textures and the models, the latter of which Adjutant cannot currently process or extract.

I had thought that the anniversary .map files would contain the anniversary models, and that the textures to which could be acquired from the .s3dpak files. This is only half-true: with Adjutant, I'll only be getting my hands on the stock Halo 1 models contained within the .maps, and not the anniversary models.

Oh well. I wonder how certain people within the Source engine community - as well as VKMT with their HCEA masterchief - got access to the the anniversary models? Perhaps the answer to that one's above my paygrade?

Allow me to answer that:

We have someone who is actually able to, with some varying degrees of success, rip models from the sabre stuff because its used elsewhere. Through some odd ends and conversions, textures, models, and some sounds are rippable, but there are caveats with each

Textures cannot be ripped at the highest quality, and are sometimes even lower than their CE counterparts

Models are skewed in terrible ways. It took me a good 3 hours to fix the chief's scale to be proper, and even then it wasn't skinned (i had to do that myself, it was not fun). BSPs are far worse since each peice of isntance geometry is distorted differently than its others, and the main clusters are horribly disfigured.

Sounds are all rippable, but not all work. Some are broken and flutter in as white noise (iirc) and others are distorted otherwise. These sounds, however, can still be ripped with adjutant since they're shared amongst the two versions

Normally defamation isnt my thing but holy cow you really have a stick far up yours dont you? HAC also does a lot more than anticheat by the way, so you claiming that something bypasses something that has anticheat in the name as a cheat is (in this case) actually retarded.

And obviously 002 hasnt bothered to defend himself. He has nothing to defend himself against. You being a self entitled child doesnt help your case by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't think "could reasonably take place in the same universe as Halo" is an unreasonably restrictive requirement for a map. Does OP mean they want in-universe assets or literally stock CE assets?

OP, I'd have to really look through my collection of maps to find higher quality maps, but one that I thought of off the top of my head is Sector 09 by Nickster5000. Its a firefight map, not an "adventure" map, but its still quite fun and fits your aesthetic criteria to the same degree that SPV3 might.

Sector 09 i dont think feasibly fits under the same descriptor of lore friendly visually but i guess thats on a per-person basis. The rest of what you're saying i guess makes sense

Lumoria and Forgotten Exile are by no means lore friendly. By nature, they sort of have to go in an rattle their own ways into the lore in order to work. Sure they do a good job of staying close while not agregiously violating it (though i havent played forgotten exile in long enough that i forgot how close it actually goes) but you'd be hardpressed to find something that actually goes in and delves on stuff that fits in.

Though, i do wanna say that heretic hunt is shaping up to be exactly that, as its still pre arbiter gas mine incident.

the hac2 author went through with making sightjacker (a feature that can give an unfair advantage) blockable with sapp. you made chimera so this should be YOUR responsibility

I feel like you shouldnt bother allowing that. If people want to turn off interpolation, it should be clientside. Having a serverside restriction for whats effectively a cosmetic mod does nothing helpful to anyone

There's also the fact that Broke never released the gauss sniper in compiled form. It was just the source files themselves. The only other compiled gauss sniper I know of is the one uploaded to the main site itself.

I'm sure someone appreciates this, but ripping tags is by far one of the worst experiences to deal with. Show some pictures of what you have and ensure that everything is self contained. Also giving links to the tags rather than a mapfile is infinitely more useful.

They do it on purpose because it gives you a telegraphing moment. Don't remove it even if it makes them seem like "sitting ducks" for that half second. Make it so that they see you from further away and that the player has adequate time and indication to see that they're marching towards you.

For a start these arent bad. Im terrible with locomotion animations, but that goofy run just cracks me up. The reload does need some work but most of it is small touches, such as making the head follow the hand a bit more and letting the gun have a few impact/recovery frames once the mag goes in.

I could probably give better crit when im not doing this via phome, but we'll see what you do with this.

Not to be a total jackwad but realistically speaking, making a full functional and well balanced map takes more than a month. SP is a bit wonky for the latter but thorough testing and understanding feedback of that testing is essential for both sides. A month simply isnt enough time to cut it unless you have people assisting you fulltime the entire way through

Your first mistake was using a sound converter. Your second was using tool++. Use tool to compile the sound and your issues will fix itself. If you have errors, tell us what the errors are and we'll teach you how to fix them.

"out of objects" error generally means exactly what it says: There's too many objects on the map. Reduce that amount and you should be fine.
