Okay, I found the two Pelican sound files I needed inside of Immure.
So is there any reason a vehicle will not appear in the compiled map? I opened my map with Halo Editing Kit Plus and the Wasp tags are there but in-game its just not there.
Hey people.
This is probably gonna sound like a noob question but I haven't done that much work with Halo Custom Edition, more with Halo 2 Vista.
So I wanna add this Wasp to a scenario, which I have done with Guerilla, but when I go to load the scenario in Sapien it crashes. Remove the vehicle and it loads fine. Even adding the vehicle to the scenario's vehicle palette causes the crash. I tried adding it to the tutorial scenario as well just to make sure.
There where also updated cyborg.model_animations included, so I backed up my original and added them to the \characters\cyborg directory.
So is there a known issue with this vehicle or is there something else I need to do to properly add a vehicle?
EDIT: Found the problem immediately after I post, always like that.
I am missing this tag: sound\sfx\vehicles\pelican_engine
I think its a .sound_looping or just a .sound tag, does anyone have this file? I am temporarily using the ghost's .sound_looping tag.
------
Another problem, when I add the vehicle to the scenario it is not appearing in-game in Slayer even though that box is checked. Does it need to be added to globals.globals or somewhere else?
Thankx for any help,
K_A

I let an admin know.
It is pretty similar to mapping in HCE. The materials inside of the 3DS Max file must point to existing shader files from the H2EK.
I always suggest doing the first compile with lowest lighting, then redo it with no lighting. This way the lighting is not enabled but is ready when you are going to light the BSP on highest quality (which can take hours to days depending on the size of the BSP).
My team (H2MT) has a source file collection called [DATA+TAGS] The Essential Collection that fills in many missing files and adds new BSPs, custom weapons, textures, etc (around 20 thousand files) which makes it easier for new users to jump in. I believe I'm getting pretty close to updating it again soon with more scenarios, updates, and additional weapons. I would suggest you start there.

Make sure Halo is not running when you add them. If you add H2.5 maps you will need to install the H2MT Halo 2.5 Game+ Pack.
Just because a file is compressed as a .exe some browsers will say that the file is not safe. They are in .exe (executable format) because I use 7-Zip to compress files and make them self extracting; it is one of the best archives programs out there. This makes it easier to share the maps.
I packaged and made most of the maps so I know they are safe. If I packaged them as .zip they would probably appear as safe but they would take up more space to store, thus more time to download.
You just click download, a few of the larger links use Microsoft SkyDrive, but most of the links are normal links. Just click download then click save file. Just tested the links using Firefox 21 and Internet Explorer 10, works fine.
You can find all the latest maps directly from the map makers here: H2MT H2PC Map Repository
My team H2MT used to upload to this site but the owner refuses to follow his own rules nor respect the wishes of the creators. I gave him our FTP address (at the time) and asked him very specifically not to upload the maps in the folder marked BETA. Of course he did and then he talked down to me calling me a kid, I'm 31 BTW. As if me being younger has any relevance with him not respecting his own upload rules. He threatened to ban me from the forums if I persisted. He makes money off of advertising, advertising that benefits from everyone's maps, the least he could do is respect the creators wishes and not post betas that should not be here. Talk about immature.
So we setup our own site where only the latest and best maps are available.
Microsoft confirms Halo 'Bootcamp' following ratings leak
New Halo project in the works, tipped for PC

Microsoft has confirmed the existence of a Halo-related project titled 'Bootcamp', which surfaced recently via Korean Ratings.
The Microsoft-filed Korean listing, spotted by Game Front, names 'Bootcamp' as a PC online action game, with mention of Halo 3 in the description.
Little else can be gleaned from the Google-translation, but a Microsoft rep was surprisingly willing to confirm the prematurely outed project with an albeit vague statement.
"What's Bootcamp? It is not related to our Xbox One efforts, or the Reclaimer Saga, but rather a project we're very enthusiastic about and will have more to say about in the near future," said the rep.
The 'Reclaimer Saga' refers to the second Halo trilogy, which is expected to continue on the next-gen Xbox One console.
A PC port of Halo 3 would seem unlikely at this point - a full six years after it originally hit Xbox 360 - unless it were some sort of experimental free-to-play multiplayer venture (think Quake Live). The project may also be related to a Halo novel by Reed Ruiz titled Halo: Fall of Reach: Boot Camp, but nothing is confirmed.
Perhaps we'll hear more on this at E3 next month.

You should probably factor that into the nature, type and scale of thing it’s going to be. I will say this though, and only this: it’s cool and something I have always wanted to do. Edited by Kills_Alone on May 26, 2013 at 10:26 PM
Sounds legit.
PC gamers have been asking for a Halo 3 PC since at least 2007; thats six years now. Bringing Halo 3 to PC would take minimal effort, but Microsoft has chosen to throw PC gamers under the proverbial bus that is Xbox.
Just hit F11 to take HUDless screenshots in H2V. Then look for the .TIF file here: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Halo 2\Screenshots
Nice thing about doing it this way is you do not have to paste after each screen-cap and it gives me a screenshot with the high resolution of 3360x2100.
Or Download this HUD Remover application by Sherbox: http://h2mt.org/tools/2_Vista/MOD/HUD/HUD_Removal/H2V%20Hud%20Removal.exe

Halo 5 and 6 are no surprise to anyone in existence, except apparently you. See here is how trilogy's work: they come in sets of three. I think your troll-face is showing.
Your Photoshop cover is not too bad, but I would suggest never putting text directly over the main character's face.
I don't know about the cover (it does look pretty slick), but the YouTube video of the MainMenu is an obvious fake and it says as much in the comments.
Why wouldn't the remake H2 is a better question. So many players have been asking for it and 2 was a series favorite of many competitive players so they better get the MP right. Probably just be tacked on Halo 4 or 5 MP maps anyways like Anniversary was just Reach MP maps. Edited by Kills_Alone on Apr 27, 2013 at 06:29 PM
The limit on your activations is supposedly tied into some hardware changes, so if you upgraded the OS that might not count against the limit but if you installed it on a separate machine, or upgraded your motherboard, or put it on a friend's computer that would count. Thats what I've heard anyway, but for me I've had to install it so many times on so many different systems and many many hardware changes that I've lost count so every-time I install it I think my limit will be up.
That .DLL mentioned above should allow you to play, not sure they will be activating the game at all seeing as its supposed to be shutting down in June.
That is an old unfinished public beta not related to the one from HCE. We will be updating this collection in the future with additional Reach/ODST maps and weapons.
I run H2V on Win8, when I first installed it there was a message that it would not work but its works just fine.
If you mean MF.dll on Win8, I dunno, should work.
