Would have posted a link to a video on youtube to do that in photoshop, seeing he had someone else
making simple things like a normal map and specular map it made more sense to give link to an app.

Only ever work 10% of the time? try running the apps as Admin :)

Use an app like this to make the normal and specular based on the original texture,
after all most do it either in apps or photoshop based on the texture image.

That will be Lua scripts you are try to get done there, i have no idea how getting a vehicle to spawn
in a certain area different from the spawns created in the map already, maybe try the Sapp website
to get help with doing that.

If you have alt+w set as a hotkey in camstudio, then usually it will do the command
for camstudio instead of for the other program you are using. I noticed that a while ago when using camstudio and 3ds max, it seems to me that the priority is given to camstudio if you are recording and have a hotkey set which is the same in another program. That's how it works out for me so i think that's what the problem is for you too. But if you can use that hotkey with no problems at times while recording then that must a problem of 3ds max 2014 i would guess.

Nice one on doing that, you mentioned having a problem when you tessellated the plane,
i couldn't fully understand what the problem was that you asked for help with.

It's a very strange name to have as a material, tool wants you to pick a shader type
for the name ]\'. For example if you add a texture called ma_texture tool would be asking you to select a shader type for the texture/bitmap ma_texture.
It looks like you have named something wrong and just need to check the names of the materials you added
in 3ds max.

For Adjutant you will need 3ds max 2010 or higher as far as i remember, some model extractions are advised to be imported into max 2013 i think that was mentioned in the adjutant thread, but i do remember someone saying 2010 and upwards works.
Max versions lower than that will mean you will be importing as obj etc, and applying the materials yourself.
But if you use max 2010 upwards you can use a maxscript that will apply the textures for you.

edit: also try using Yodas biped rigging tutorial, that should help.

Had a chat with him on xfire a few nights ago, it was either ports or the init text.
I can't remember but got it running in the end, i was able to join to make sure people could get in okay too, then left him with the link for sapp to setup admin etc on it if he wanted to.
