So a few years ago I got into Halo Combat Evolved and Halo Custom Edition. Being 14, I decided to just pirate the game instead of buying it.

I decided that I wanted to get back into the game, being too lazy to pirate the game and having a couple of dollars lying around I bought a copy of the game.

I installed it, pressed the Halo icon and nothing happened. No error, just nothing. I tried updating it ( yes I selected run as admin) and no updates were available. I remember hearing that the servers were going to be shut down or something, but idk. That shouldn't effect the single player.

I'm on windows 7.

H3 Foundry that bsp is sexy.


I want a to add a different sky to the stock scenario Deathisland. Everything works if i keep everything exactly how it was extracted, but as soon as i remove the scenery i get an error. i have a freshly installed tag set, so i really don't know what the problem is.

Also im using OS hek (os_sapien guerilla) but im using the TOOL command not the os_tool command. so it should be the same right? os_sapien might be the problem.
Os_sapien was the problem.

i guess os_sapien doesnt work like normal sapein, my bad for posting before troubleshooting.

I edited the original warthog texture, compiled it in tool with no errors, overwrote the original unedited bitmap. But when i compile my map and take a look at the warthog, its still using its default unedited texture. How do i fix this, everything else that i have change in the map updates, but the bitmap. I have checked the gbxmodel's shader and it using the edited texture.

Tool: Bitmap created: #1024x#1024, compressed with color-key transparency, 682K-bytes.

I knew it would be released some day :)


there is 5 server at the most that have enough players to play. and the top 2 servers that have enough players are ctf and ppl just camp with tanks all day and the controls with the mouse suck . since i bought it 6 months ago I've only played it 3 times because of how easily it got me bored and the windows live updates suck. single player was boring and "cartoony", but 10$ is not a lot of money so if you are curious of how bad it is just buy it.
