You can (sort of).
There's no one click solution like arsenic for halo 2, which is probably what you used for Halo 1. You can port the maps yourself if you rip the bsps from H2V and use xbox modding tools to recreate them, but it's a lot of work to get two maps working in a 15 year old game on a two generations old console.

It's very unlikely that an official editing kit will be released for any of the MCC games, especially now that every main halo title has forge mode. I don't know for sure, but I believe that the halo reach mods you've seen videos of were either already reach mods for the 360 or created using the same tools. Of course, they are much more popular and visible because unlike on the 360, modding reach on the MCC won't get your live account permabanned.
I've just reinstalled halo custom edition on my laptop, and it runs great - on my integrated graphics, that is. Whenever I force it to use my nvidia card, the game starts fine but the only thing displayed is the loading screen. The game loads properly, and I can hear the menu sounds if I move the mouse, but the only thing I can see is the loading screen.
My specs are
CPU: Intel i7-4510U
GPU: Nvidia GT 840M 2GB
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
OS: Windows 8.1
Also, if it helps, I have no issues running Halo pc, only custom edition. I'm using universal ui 1.1, but other than that it's a fresh install.

Huh, I don't think I've ever seen a marathon map remake, which is weird now I think about it.
If you enable devmode I think that loading ui.map manually plays the halo ring animation without the menu (don't quote me on this).
The command is "map_name ui"
Sorry if this doesn't work, I don't have hce installed so I can't check atm.

It's in the a10 scripts iirc. Won't work in multiplayer maps afaik.
My original Halo PC also had working bumped glass

Do the open edge/sealed world rules apply to first and/or third person weapon models? I know they apply to collision models but I am unsure if they apply to the actual weapon model.
I ask because I am currently modelling a weapon where I could save many polygons by breaking the sealed world rule, but I am unsure if that will affect my ability to get it ingame.
