Textures for the mars base are from Quake or Doom? loolz
One's a war cruiser and the other is more of an investigation civilian cruiser. They SHOULD look different. Kind of like a warship in the Navy and a cruise ship to the Bahamas.

I hate to burst your bubble but i was kidding. I can make a pinball game for android and any computer running flash but i can't make a FPS ---> I'm almost 18, if I was able to create my own FPS, wouldn't I have done it already? lol
I'll make it.
I mean, I used to care about this stuff, but i realized that in the end, none of this means anything other than fun. I do this to have fun and i think that it's a common misconception here in these forums that people shouldn't do something a certain way because it's not what the "professionals" do. I know how to sub divide model, i understand the concepts of baking, but it isn't necessary if all you want out of making a map is fun.

People should make maps in a more modern way. Stick them in sculpting programs to add all fine details, which allows you to make extremely realistic cliffs ect... then bake normals ect in max...
I would import it into ZBrush if all I did was sit at my computer all day, lol.

The map or the structure is 19k? and why are you using turbosmooth? from what i can see there is no use for it.
Turbosmooth for the map, the structures are normal.

looks like Revelations. Lol.
Pretty close, I got some inspiration for the bases from Selentic's structure on that map.
edit: It's 19k polies so far. (with turbo smooth) Although none of the bases are attached, those will have portals. I hope i can finish under 25k.

I had a design for a map floating around for 2 years, figured i'd finish it for CE3, but that didn't work out. *Note* I haven't touched max for a year, haha. Thoughts?
From the looks of it, the origins appear to be pretty decent --->

I like the creativity.... But it's just too boxy still for my liking :/. It looks like you started with an actual box and went forth from that.

ur net is slow, make it fast, it worked 4 me.
you don't say?
Your advice just literally saved me from internal despair.
Yeah could you guys add the nuke pistol????? This will ensure fun in Halo.
Sooo.. Who's participating in this shindig?
Your bones look too much like dog bones rather than human bones... :x
And once again LODEX :| , you remain the only one disliking the upcoming game.
Better yet, ask yourself the question: How much can humanity go through in 20 years?
I imagined the forerunner as an advanced species with far superior technology than both the covenant and the humans combined. I have no problem accepting the appearance of these new enemies because they have created exactly what was created in my head after reading the x number of books.
If the year is 25xx and you can hyper jump with a star ship, i think it's safe to say that a more advanced species that created all of the halo rings should be able to teleport too.
Also, it reminded me more of Metroid than Mass Effect. And i have no idea where the Half-Life thing came from, because I see no resemblance.
