Give us the tags Bourrin. Just do it.
Love that HUD Bourrin. Glad to see you're using the Ma5k too. I always loved that weapon tag, almost caused the entire community to chase me out back when "rips" were taboo (and I didn't understand exactly what they meant). It looks updated, yet still simplistic.

I think it would be a great move to incorporate this soundtrack into your campaign, combined with the beach assault, this will definitely be a great hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoESyr_pMZUThis is of course, just my expert opinion. Lode, if you're an expert than I'm a master. Enough said bro. >:U I don't think your one sloppy firefight map qualifies you as a master. And no trolling, hardstyle could be very refreshing on games. Although I realise it's not really known over in the USA, people prefer rap and hip-hop there apparently. Lol, no bro. That's just what you see from living in Belgium.
I made a firefight map? :o
EDIT: OH, that map. That map was a test map. I haven't released anything worthwhile at all and a lot of gameplay I've helped with or worked on is not in HCE nor has it been released because I'm too much of a perfectionist/artist. Anything on this site submitted under my name was either done when I first began, done by someone else without my permission (from Megaupload :X), or was a reference sheet for anyone seeking a quick document for AI commands. That's it though.
Masterz, has anything new happened at all? I'm curious because I have been completely out of loop for a while and we both know how searching through these threads for answers is....

You are indeed a master noob. Great work!:)
That said, I think your last two renders need to be done better. They're way too dark and you can't see as much as you'd want to. I suppose the point is to know what they'd look like in the dark, but it's normally better to render anything in lighting where the shapes can be identified. They always say that. It's like their catch phrase or something.

I made the front this way because I think it can look OK when textured without too much triangles As true as that probably is, the amount of Tris is worth it if you see the feet at all. Also, it shouldn't be that many more to add a little bit more slight detail in there. It just looks way to plain to me tbh.

Regardless, that's looking nice Opsy. At least, once you show more love to those cliff details. :P
After 6 years of seeing Halo 3 for PC threads, I'm not accepting/speculating jack until I see the game listed on Steam/GFWL for sale. That's simply how it is and how it always will be. ESPECIALLY with Microsoft.
Definitely work on the front of those boots.
Looking good Hiralis! You're getting there for sure. I like your Covenant over your Forerunner. :P
Quote: --- Original message by: Dumb AI Open Sauce doesn't magically give your PC more processing power. No, it doesn't, but it allows for more polygons to be on the screen at once. Of course computer performance is up to the computer, but OS allows the engine to display more polygons. I was also mainly speaking from a detailed perspective: high polygon models have more details that are put into low-polygon bakes and normals. OS allows the use of normals and thus the high details. That was the point. Edited by DarkHalo003 on Jan 30, 2013 at 01:21 PM

Yay or nay?
I can't get it much lower without making the biped seem mutilated. Ultimately it depends on how many bipeds with that model you have loaded at once. You can almost always find ways to bring down the poly count from ~10,000. HOWEVER, the low poly bake would be the solution here and you'd have to utilize OpenSauce to allow that. Really it just comes down to how many bipeds of that model you have loaded at once. With modern PCs, it's been normally considered okay to have ~10,000 polies on a model. I will say though, the more you have loaded at once, the more the system will snap at you. Unless, of course, you're using Open Sauce.
CMT....I mean ZTEAM.....uhh.....RIPZ!!1!!1!!11!
Awesome though. If you ever talk to them, tell them I said thank you for all their contributions. There were many times where they made the impossible in Custom Edition seem possible on a technical level.
And Masterz, this is still my most favorite GIF on the internet:

Halo 4 as a whole is a good game and was marketed very well. It may not be as good as other Halo games for some, but it's still a good game.
This is of course in your opinion Higuy as my opinion is the exact contrary. I thought the campaign was alright, brilliant at times and trivial at others, the level design was aesthetically pleasing and really the only disappointing one for me was the Broadsword one, and that the campaign as a whole is a "pilot" episode to sell the rest of the series, which is what the beginning of a trilogy is supposed to do (just like HCE did way back when). I have yet to play multiplayer, so that opinion is still reserved. However, I contest that Halo 2's MP was not really that great besides BTB and casual games. The BR as the ultimate weapon was simply too much. Halo 3 almost rectified that with AR spawns until the vocal minority wanted BR Starts. Then it really went from potent to alright. This is my opinion, of course.
Lore-wise, I could agree with you to an extent. I'm getting more used to it and the Forerunner characters themselves are actually pretty accurate. The only irritations I have is the whole "there used to be ancient Humanity" sentiment and how the Flood was created. The Flood is still terrifying, mind you, but it's not as menacing as before now that we know its origin. I just hate how it's an absolute Sci-Fi cliche that there has been an ancient humanity long before our time that ruled amongst the stars.
As far as art design, I'd really like it if it came more back to Western art rather than Eastern/Anime-ish art. I read that the art design was really Easter/Anime inspired and I haven't been able to not see it since, which isn't bad at all (I like a lot of Eastern stuff), but Halo was a very Western art design before the switch. Just saying it'd be nice to have them both meet at a crossroads.
I thought the music was fantastic (and I still listen to it on a daily basis now), but the audio for the guns is way to similar between human and covenant weapons. I want my Covenant sounds back. :( Edited by DarkHalo003 on Dec 6, 2012 at 09:20 PM

Holy crud Waffles, if you'd be so kind, could I possibly examine them for the sake of learning? They are my favorite animations, just ask Teh_Lag (not sure if he remembers) and I have utterly failed to replicate them. If you meet a few requirements then sure i guess. 1. 3ds max 10 2. 3ds max CAT for 3ds max 2010. 3ds max 11 comes with CAT, but im not positive it would work though, otherwise I would be handing you files that wont open. Plus you may not get the hang of CAT right away, with things like animation layers, motion layers, animation/setup mode. I'm still learning it myself. could not for the life of me find a different way other than CAT to get the control i wanted for bipeds, CAT has IK/FK switching, root contols, bone influence, and its very organized and neat. That animation is custom btw, not positive zteam would be up for ripping animations for the h2 version. Speaking of which, i may be the only person working on the h2 version atm... Edited by waffles on Nov 23, 2012 at 11:09 AM Well I have 3ds Max 10, not so sure about CAT though. I have access to 11 as well, so I could download it and see if it does. I'm a student, so I get this software for free as long as its education.
Those are custom though? Damn, fooled me. Animating bipeds/characters is pretty tough stuff.

I think it'd be worth the hassle to do the Arbiter levels. Playing alongside the Elites was probably some of the greatest fun in Halo 2 Singleplayer, not to mention the environments for those level were incredible beyond belief for a game at that time.
