finished it. twas a lot of fun! Walking felt supper slow since it had been a while since I played halo. lol
Still quality of work was high, and I loved how yall stuck to the style of halo 1 without wanting to be halo 3 or reach. :)

Due to massive data loss, I no longer have the MAP files of narrows. Though I have all the 3ds and bmp's, I dont have any of the halo files. Does anyone out there have a version that was nearly complete (old h3mt members, old testers, jesse)? It kills me that I wont be able to load it up for old times sake.
btw, im not wkin on it any more... this is just for nostalgia.
there was this one program i used to bake higher res lightmaps which I could directly manipulate in photoshop... but I completely forgot everything about it. I used it for narrows way back.
Dee was the one who showed it to me. Maybe ask him?

I kinda like the old cubemap. This new smooth one looks like there's way less detail.

Vehicle doesnt look right because its too grungy and you can hardly see reflections. And there's only pink with grooves. It would look nicer if u added some alien text or symbols. Also, add burn marks from the exhaust and such.
Overall texture is not even close to finished. Too high contrast. The groovs are too thick and they need a small highlight on either side of them to help them pop out. The scratch areas are too scratched up and are light pink rather than exposing the raw metal underneath (exposing something that should not be pink in the first place). Also, there is only one type of scratch: thick and heavy. How bout toning WAY down those scratches and brink in some new one's?

do the icons in the HUD switch to higher res's with resolution changes?
Like, say that ur playing on a 800x600 res, and it uses a 128x128 HUD image. Does that image swap with a higher res 256x256 HUD image if I go to a 1600x1200 res?

WAY too high poly. you need to optimize the model some more. Character models should not exceed 3000 tri's.

lets not make premature judgments. im sure they wont mess up the halo brand now. Its way too important to Microsoft.
By the way, i think its fake too. Its a little early to have leaks now. By the way, the N, S, E W up top is messed up. In stead of NE, it says NO.
